It's Getting Offensive.

I'm going to preempt this and say that I saw a lot of promise during last nights game.  I was watching on TV and it was a fun game for the first three quarters (also sounded like there was a lot of crowd energy!).

However something has to be done about these....

Second chance points.   The team is giving away too many second chance points and it really hurt them last night. During Portland's late 4th quarter run they had a million offensive rebounds which eventually ended up adding to the point tally.

What can be done about this with the current roster?

I think it falls on the wings.  Our wings are not collapsing for the long rebounds.  EJ does many things well but still needs to learn how to get his body in there and grab some rebounds (it would also help my fantasy league stats).   The team added Gomes and picked up AFA to help compensate but it wasn't particularly effective last night (primarily because Gomes wasn't very effective last night).  Let's put AFA in there and see what he can do to alleviate that problem.

Camby was doing the things we loved about him, only now against the team.  Ugh.  Watching him bother and swat away all of Kaman's attempts...just sickening.  Watching him backtapping an offensive rebound to a teammate...just gross.

What's with the VDN rotations anyway?...Sual had the hot hand but he was rarely in the 4th quarter when the team needed shooting.  They were playing zone and the team needed shooters to keep it honest.  You can't beat the zone unless you can shoot.
