ESPN is being caught in the center of this so called Blake Griffin "hype". After turning their back to the Clippers, ESPN is sort of confused on how to react to this "hype" because Blake, who is the hottest newest commodity in the NBA is a Clipper. So now they are trying to counteract the "hype" by promoting an argument where they once more introduced an overused and archaic term "overrated". However, if you listen to all of the pros and cons presented by both commentators, you will find out that the pros more than outsweigh the cons. One big argument presented by Skip was that Blake failed to lead his school to the NCAA championship finals but was quickly negated by counterargument that Durant did not either and so forth.
ESPN still cannot believe that something good can come out of the Clippers which they still consider the worst sports franchise. They cannot accept that the "other team" in LA is no longer known as the other team but the team where Blake "the hype" plays. They are witnessing the transformation of the Clipper fans and that something "good" is going to happen or is already happening in Staples and the cheers they are hearing loud and clear is Clippers and not Lakers... They cannot in all honestly admit that the Clippers (even though they have more losses than wins) play more exciting basketball than the Lakers (who are winning games in a lackluster fashion....although not winning lately).
The new kid in the block is the Clipper. Pretty soon # 32 replaces #23. The red and white flag will fly all over LA and the dominance of the purple and gold will soon diminished!
America ,,,,Blake Griffin is the Truth and the "truth shall set you free".
