It sometimes takes extraordinary circumstances to bring out the true nature in a fan... Like a huge opportunity calling for a soul-swiping sacrifice, or something as such.
A case at hand: ESPN reports "Miami has pursued Stoudemire hard but has no one on its roster (besides Dwyane Wade) that interests Phoenix, according to sources. That includes Michael Beasley. So it would take a three-team deal for Stoudemire to be traded to the Heat."
So then, calling all Clip fans still lusting for LBJ... How far are you willing to go?
Miami gets Stoudemire from Phoenix
Clippers get Haslem, Wright, Chalmers, and (Jones or BEASLEY) from Miami
Phoenix gets Camby, Telfair, AT, and GRIFFIN from the Clips
The trade works on RealGM Trade Checker, regardless of who you choose inside the parenthesis. You see, then, while the proposal may be indecent, it is hardly inflexible. Would you rather have Beasley or the extra cap space? If you DON'T take Beasley, then the payroll for next year could go down as low as $28M (assuming you renounce all other souls, including Chalmers and Wright). You'd then be quite a player within the chambers of free agency, wouldn't you? On the other hand, should you take Beasley (and those creepy eyes of his), your payroll would climb to $33.5M, still approximately $20M under the salary cap.
The trade also works if you substitute EJ for Griffin, FYI. That would be less attractive to the Suns, but they might still be tempted... LOL, where are YOUR allegiances?
As several bloggers have bravely acknowledged, the chance to possess someone like Lebron comes around only only once or twice an eternity. And a lineup of BD, EJ, LBJ, Beasley (?), and Kaman would be quite tasty indeed.
It's all for the taking, my friend. Would you care to dance?
