Around SBN: Knicks Beat Lakers With Familiar Strategy

For Outlaw and Blake, it appears. A little anti-climatic, if you ask me.

Yeah, kind of a strange move

Now we have a hole at the 4, although Outlaw will do alright against tweeners. It’s as if we felt we needed help at PG for the rest of the season, only to now need help in the front court. Are we giving up the season, or still fighting? What’s the plan on keeping either guy? I want to hear what Dunleavy says… maybe he can give the move better coherence.

Perhaps a prelude to trading one of our current point guards?

In exchange for 2010 cap space?

Moving Baron or Telfair solves that problem…

Well, if the plan is to keep either Outlaw or Blake

then naturally, that interferes with cap space.

If we don’t have plans to keep either, then the trade is pretty lame. We just gave up a key big, so the season is seriously compromised. Why just rent a couple of players, especially non-bigs, at this point?

I’m trying to think through the permutations. Tomorrows discussion will be interesting.

maybe there is another move involving blake

and Thornton, I can only hope so.

yeah this trade is obviously just to clear up cap space

I wonder if there is another move coming soon.

we actually dont clear up any more space as is… hopefully dunleavy has something else in the works because if not he just suceeded in pissing off the whole locker room because camby was a favorite and a team leader

Yup...

Doesn’t clear more cap space for the summer, but does put money in the pocket of DTS now.

This franchise is never going to change, is it?

How does this deal put money in DTS's pocket?

I doubt this deal is about that. If it was, they probably would have bought out Camby’s contract first.

I think he means if earlier rumors are true, and Portland is throwing cash into the deal….

by Michael White on Feb 16, 2010 8:26 AM PST up reply actions

I see, but I still doubt that’s the motivation here. Selling our players would be a new low.

by ClipCat on Feb 16, 2010 9:08 AM PST up reply actions

Looks like it just happened bro

Yahoo reporting Blazers threw $3MM into deal to complete it.

by Michael White on Feb 16, 2010 9:17 AM PST up reply actions

Yeah, looks like we do have a new low in Clipper history. I stand corrected.

Disgusting, isn't it?

Same ol’ same ol’ for DTS, though.

It is

I’ve been watching too much Godfather, can someone send Luca Brasi to his house and make DTS a offer he can’t refuse for the team. This is so ridiculous….
