This is a devastating blow to Howard's owners since Howard had a chance to see consistent minutes with his new team. Al Thornton should see extended playing time in Howard's absence.
Josh Howard Stats, News, Photos - Washington Wizards - ESPN
I cringed at this note on Josh Howard on the ESPN player profile. A devastating blow to Howard's fantasy hoops owners? How about to Howard himself? The Wizards hold a team option on him for almost $12M next year which they were unlikely to exercise even before he tore his ACL. Now he'll be a free agent for sure. This major injury, his second in two seasons, along with a lack of playing time in Dallas and the fact that he turns 30 soon, will cost him millions of dollars in his next contract. But Josh Howard's loss may be Al Thornton's gain, as he'll move into the starting lineup and into a featured role in Washington's offense.

I bet AT does well, a la CButler
- option, ~18ppg on a struggling team. It’s a good opportunity for him, no doubt.
Fantasy = lame
Feel bad for Howard, even if he is a knucklehead. Hope he bounces back. Good player.
I wish AT the best. WASH runs a pretty open offense, which should serve him well. His best games were those in which he was the primary scoring option during his rookie year, as well as the Rookie/Soph game last year when he was free to run.
Do not worry. (Matthew 6:27)
Interesting they emphasize Thornton on the offense ...
I guess they know his game already.
Too bad about Howard — don’t like to see anybody, even a knucklehead, go through that.
