Blake sooner than later??
Blake Griffin had surgery on January 20th to repair a broken left kneecap, but had encouraging information Thursday when asked when he will be back to 100 percent.
this could be interesting if the world turned upside down. interesting to see if anyone else had any more info
I woud only torture myself to think what would be if this were done in november... oh well. If miracuously in June we were in the play offs is he a Jameer Nelson lol?

hey lets let bygones be bygones
Blake’s knee is getting better, he’s getting ready and hopefully he is ready to play in summer league. No need to dwell about the past!
Now let's say that he returns and the Clippers just happen to be in the playoffs.
Could he potentially rejoin the team and lead us to a NBA championship, while picking up a Bill Russell Award (NBA Finals MVP), all before his true rookie season? He would be a trivia question for years to come. Who is the only player to win an NBA Rookie of the Year award the year after winning the Finals MVP.
All kidding aside, this is good news. Even if he’s not completely 100% in May, he should be well on his way and have plenty of time to train during the summer. I just hope that the team doesn’t put him in the Summer League this year.
why dont you want him in the summer league?
he’s got to get some burn somewhere. I much rather him play some scrubs than play pick up games with Rhino! ;)
I agree..
Plus, I go to Summer League every year, and I definitely want to see him there!

LOL He needs to stay away from Rhino.
I just want him to be fully healthy and not push anything. Most players of his stature don’t participate in multiple Summer Leagues. Although, his case is a little different since he never made it to the regular season, but I don’t think it’s that necessary for him to participate. He already knows that he can hold his own in summer league, and the only benefit is getting some burn. Although, it’s not really quality burn.
I would rather see our 2010 draft pick and DJ be the headliners. I would love for DJ get the opportunity to be the primary post option and work on some of his post moves. He can still do that with Blake, but it would be a little different.

There is no doubt that he should play summer league
Then again, it depends on how he is feeling. Training camp and preseason games are enough to get a “good burn” before the 10-11 season starts.

Thanks for making my day HVYDRT, lmao!
I thought Rhino hurt other players (Camby?)
And Blake hurt himself after a dunk during SUMMER LEAGUE against the Hornets? Wrong animal….
Or am I getting it wrong?
Griffin hurt his shoulder after being fouled in a summer league game. I think it was against Memphis.
He banged knees with Rhino before training camp which led to the knee bruise. He rested about a week (missed a game), came back and played the rest of preseason. Then the New Orleans game happened.
Camby sprained his ankle as a result of something Smith-related.

You guys are wrong....
if it was a stress fracture this was bound to happen sooner or later. They could easily have lied to us. I doubt they lied to us though, as it was in his scouting report. Even if you look at his high school dunk videos you can see he is wearing a strap specifically designed for jumper’s knee (a chronic patella injury). How do I know because I have jumper’s knee myself. You may now continue your life not blaming Rhino for Blake’s injury.
agree
Seems like BG had those knee issues since college, in a way it was better that he had this happen now than at some point in the future. Luckily, medicine has advanced well enough that, nowadays, even players who have had microfracture surgeries have been able to bounce back at almost 100% (Amare, Kenyon). Griffin’s issues have to definitely do with jumping too much. If anything Rhino did him a favor in exposing his knee, instead of messing it up. I also agree he does not need to do the summer league but he will, anyways, he needs that run more than preseason. And, hopefully he’s developing his outside touch more, as well, as we speak.

Did anybody find this ironic
that in “Narrow World of Sports” where he does an interview with that old guy (search it on youtube if you haven’t seen it!), he plays around with the idea of cosmetic knee surgery.
Moral of the story: When your a Clipper, never joke around about surgery. It just might come bite you back in the ass.
Btw, has anybody seen Blake Griffin’s knee’s yet? Does he have great look knees?
