kaman is an all-star! yay!

Chris Kaman has been named by NBA Commissioner David Stern to replace injured West All-Star guard Brandon Roy (right hamstring strain) in the 2010 NBA All-Star Game in Dallas.
Kaman will be making the first All-Star appearance of his career.
Kaman was selected sixth overall in the 2003 NBA Draft. He joins fellow 2003 class members LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh in this year's game.

------------------------------------

Say what you want about if he deserves it or not, it will be quite cool to see him mixing it up with those superstar heavyweights.... Must be kinda awkward with Pau on the same team after he talked all that shit! hahah

Good going, Chris!

i think Kaman was a legit allstar before the Memphis injury

He has slacked off a bit since coming back but maybe this will motivate hime to finish the season strong and carry into next year.

good for him

don’t know if he deserved it but great to see a clip representing us in the ASG

I think he deserved it

considering the injuries to the other players. While we are 8 games under .500 overall, we’re almost .500 with him in the lineup (21-23). Considering how vital he is to any success this team can have makes him a worthy substitute.

Nice!

It’s great to see something positive happening in Clips Nation. I hope he does well representing the West! Go Kaman!

This is the greatest thing to ever happen to me...

Chris Kaman is the illest player in the NBA. He strokes jumpers, blows shit up, and wields a shotgun better than any other player, no doubt. I am very happy for him, and I look forward to him crossing KG over with that silly crossover followed by the off the backboard windmill dunk in Dwight Howard’s eye. This is a great day for all Clipper fans and all African-Americans.

Yay yay.

Huh?

How is a seven foot tall German man making the All-Star Game a “great day for African Americans?”

Dude, why don't you try spending all your nights in a strip club....

…maintaining a drug selling empire, juggling countless supermodel baby’s mamas, and stomping out anybody who uses your first name in the streets. Kaman’s got a lot on his plate, and basketball just isn’t his priority. Give the guy a break, even with all that, he’s performing at an All-Star level. He is also an expert fisherman and knows how to pimp his ho’s. CHRIS KAMAN MOST VALUABLE PLAYA, SON!!!

Yay yay.

Gasol as well

As far as stats Kaman isn’t to far ahead of the group that wouldn’t make you consider wins to cover the gap

Thats some delicious haterade.

Only 5 ppg. Who needs that?

What about Marc Gasol feels star-ish to anyone?

same can be same about Kaman. He is Kaman with less pts but higher eff.

This season has been a failure and I don’t believe any of our players should be awarded when they haven’t made any strides. I don’t care if the next player is on a scrub team the way these players have choked or just not showed any effort for caring does not earn them the right to play the damn game.

by KillaClip on Feb 8, 2010 5:25 PM PST up reply actions

-1 couldnt disagree more

Kaman is to EJ, Rasual getting open looks to Rudy Gay, Mayo and Zbo getting Gasol easy looks.

by big0lbad on Feb 8, 2010 5:26 PM PST via mobile up reply actions

-10000

how many times has Kaman had a easy look and still missed the shot. lol Marc has a better eff. for a reason Kaman has missed countless bunnies. Even the coaching staff noted he won’t pass out the double team or overthink his own shot when he has the defender beat and miss.

Baron has set Kaman up a million times more in comparison to what Gasol gets.

by KillaClip on Feb 8, 2010 5:30 PM PST up reply actions

still dont agree

Kaman is more deserving than either Gasol brothers imo

by big0lbad on Feb 8, 2010 5:44 PM PST via mobile up reply actions

Paul of course I just feel Marc deserved to get it with everything he has put in

It’s not like Marc Gasol is a throw away piece for that team. Anyway it goes Kaman better start improving because he is under the scope again with this. Hopefully this will get some of his energy he had at the start of the season

by OhMeOhMy on Feb 8, 2010 5:55 PM PST up reply actions

i dont know

Does Marc face multiple double teams being Memphis number 1 scoring option?

by Takebb909 on Feb 8, 2010 5:34 PM PST via mobile up reply actions

Team ball

Kaman then should be taking smarter shots which should lead to a higher effeciency. If Kaman was constantly passing it out and getting players looks then I could see the case but Kaman forces his shots which has had him being called out by the staff.

You also noticed Kaman isn’t getting doubled as often any more because he is taking the first look he gets around the paint with the jumper. If you break the first half of the season into two parts Kaman’s play went from beastly to average.

by KillaClip on Feb 8, 2010 5:42 PM PST up reply actions

It's not personal agenda against Kaman I just feel any of ou players deserve to be rewarded when playing o poorly

Don’t think Gordon should be in the dunk contest either. That case goes far wider with his toe injury, poor ability to get better in handling the ball and passing. I don’t want Clippers to be given anything I want them to earn it and Kamans play as of late shouldn’t earn him a spot in comparison to other bigs

by KillaClip on Feb 8, 2010 5:34 PM PST reply actions

Thank you very much!

I want someone in the Clippers to explain this one to me. He doesn’t even dunk in games, EJ that is, and it can’t be because he’s not a showoff, or because he is shy…

by DonaldSterlingSucks on Feb 8, 2010 10:26 PM PST up reply actions

ok

well if it wasn’t Kaman it would have been monta ellis.

by andrewexd on Feb 8, 2010 6:40 PM PST up reply actions

Kaman's mistake

Now that he’s an All-Star, I wanna say, why the Hell did he ever play for the German national team??
I don’t know how long he has to wait to be eligible for the USA team, or if he has to wait at all, but it would be so awesome to see him play for the USA team and starting alongside Lebron, Melo, Wade and Bosh, I mean how sick would that be?
That’s the 2003 NBA Draft top 5 picks right there! Darko doesn’t count, please.

by DonaldSterlingSucks on Feb 8, 2010 10:35 PM PST reply actions

They never picked him to play

so he had little chance of making it. I think he is still eligible though since he has dual citizenship. He’d have a hard time starting over Dwight Howard but I think his game is even better under International (FIBA) rules.

Happy For Chris

His play since the injury hasn’t been as effective, but he’s still putting up numbers, nearly 20 and 10 a night. He’s really the only scoring threat the Clips have. I think if he wouldn’t have gotten hurt and missed those games the team might have not gone into the tailspin they did. I thought he should’ve made it the first time around, but since Gasol is on the World Champs of course he was gonna get the nod even though he’d missed alot of games.
