Jackson says Clippers' job attractive
I've been on this tip for a while, I seriously think Phil Jackson and LeBron could convince each other to join the Clippers. Mind you, I'm only saying its POSSIBLE not PROBABLE (or even remotely likely). But both don't like Kobe, LeBron wants a ring (what better coach than Phil) and I think Phil would like to stick it to Jerry Buss.
I believe Sterling would pay for both, turning down the chance isn't a sound business move.

Makes sense that Phil would say that
He doesn’t like to rebuild but rather shape teams that already have good players.

I still think if the Lakers don't repeat...
Buss won’t break the bank to re-up Phil when he already has the league’s biggest luxury tax bill. If he even waffles about extending Phil, wouldn’t it take one call from Jackson to LeBron, meet me at the Clippers, and it’s done?

While I hate Phil's smarmy coolness...
And believe it’s all a ploy as bigolbad mentioned, we do know that Phil likes to come in for the final shaping, as Jax pointed out. And as long as he leaves Kobe behind I’m okay with it. I’d rather like to see what Phil could do with Baron’s sometimes-brilliant, sometimes-boneheaded, always stubborn demeanor.
Not claiming to know them at all.
But I read somewhere, not sure where now, that LeBron pirvately dislikes Kobe. Not too farfetched, I bet its reciprocal.

That's complete hearsay then
most of the league is pretty chummy off the court. LBJ wants to be remembered as one of the all-time greats and his goal is 7 championships so anything that can upstage Kobe will obviously pique his interest. Coming to LA and upstaging Kobe would be one of the boldest (and bravest) moves any professional athlete has ever taken.

I totally agree.
I acknowledge its hearsay, never said otherwise. But I’m saying his dislike of Kobe would be added motivation to hook up with Phil across the hall. So they can become the dominant LA team. Pipe dream, but haven’t we suffered enough?

it would be right up phil's alley
latch on to the best player (or arguably the best) in his best years and ride him to add to his legend…but we should know not to trust the aholes down the hall when they start acting like they’re interested (re: kobe).

PJ would like to...
….stick it to Jerry Buss? I’m not even going to answer that question. I’m sure that everyone who is reading this knows why. Let’s just say Phil’s already been down that road, although he took an alternate route!
