Mark Warkentien
He should be our next GM. We can use his help to try to get LBJ or some other player or we can try to preserve cap space (1 year deals) and go after Melo in 2011. Apparently Denver has never tried to retain him (even though he was Executive of the Year in 2009) and there is a bit of a power play in the works in the Nuggets front office. This could provide us the opportunity to good GM who can be here for awhile (he's 57). Thoughts?

Agree!
but given the owner i very much doubt that would happen, The Clips have the opportunity to improve they’re situation overnight but we’ve heard this kinda talk before from Sterling so i guess u can say I’m very skeptical they will make an offer to someone like Warkentine but that’s just me…..
Also agree
I mentioned his name in the main post on the front page. Adrian W from Yahoo! was the first I’ve seen to bring up his name and I think it would be a solid hire.
Not sure if Sterling has the savvy to make that kind of hiring though.
sounds like a character on "the office"...no thanks
i’m kidding…i don’t care who they pick actually, just as long as they don’t become a powermonger and scare off any big coaching candidates, and they have a clue and appear “attractive” to anyone shopping around this summer.

Good idea. Curious….. How did you come up with Warkentien?

It was suggested by Wojo.
