I vote for Byron Scott as the new Head Coach!
Why not...he has Clipper ties as he was drafted by them, has been to the finals (twice) and he's available...Bring in B...Scott..and get rid of Baron Davis...we might have a shot of getting CP3
He also has LA connections if the Clippers win the lottery again he'll be able to draft and teach John Wall the ropes... with a young backcout of Wall and Gordon...Kaman at center...Blake at power and either Gay or some other freeagent the Clipper might have a chance....(don't hold your breath or anything like that) but yes!!! a chance to compete.

Vlade?
lol…it really does not matter the clipper only keep player to the end of their rookie contract…and then they leave and become superstars or very good roll players…ie
it all started with loy Vaught…when they didn’t resign him the clipper went straight downhill…then came the rest…quentin richardson, D.Miles, L. Odom…etc the clipper have good drafts but no reason to win…
actually, the Clippers have usually had crappy drafts...
The only person who has ever left the Clippers and become a really solid NBA player is Lamar Odom (and Antonio McDyess, if he counts)…and I disagree about Byron Scott, he’s been fired twice for a reason.
Yay yay.
We've had others
Rodney Rogers, Corey Maggette, Brent Barry, Derek Anderson, Quentin Richardson and Darius Miles that went on to be solid (if not better) players elsewhere… now the franchise has never had a superstar (a top 10 player) ever… maybe FElton that one year qualifies and that’s why we came within 1 game of the conference finals.

I can see us getting Collison
maybe we can trade our 10th pick for him. Seems like a good deal, we get a talented young pg and now have the option of trading Baron.

It's tricky with coaches....
Byron Scott would be good but i’d rather hire someone that doesn’t feel that getting this job is a lateral move. We’re no better than the Hornets. Sure we’re in LA but that gets canceled out when you have a shitty owner and you haven’t made playoffs.
I’d rather see a guy come in who has high upside and is not in his sixties. Byron fits that criteria but the whole laker shadow just doesn’t sit right.
Than Again....
Hire a coach thats not incompetent on the cheap and put that money towards the players. You think Mike Browns some genius? Or Alvin Gentry? Players are where its at.
And one..
If we can get a good player in FA who is also a good floor leader, like we had with Sam I Am, I think we’d be fine.

No on Byron Scott
I have to think he’ll leave us if he can get the Lakers job. That would be the ultimate slap in the face to the franchise.
Hire a coach thats not incompetent on the cheap and put it to the players? If anything I think coaches are underrated by many and considering you don’t have a salary cap with them you should put more into your coaching. You are putting way too much faith in DTS to take those savings and investing it back into the team.

Na
We can pass on Bryon , Avery Johnson is who we need! Sign Rudy Gay & Trade Our 1st rd. Pick , DeAndre Jordan & Mardy Collins For Al Jefferson . And re-sign Rasual , Drew , Steve , Travis . And we can take it from there…
Paul Westhead
If we’re to lose let’s have some fun with the run and gun , we should to able to whip some teams and make the play-off
