Wondering why we never send our younger players to the D-League?
I've noticed that almost every other team has sent a young prospect that they are developing to the D-league except for us. Is it too expensive or something? I know our history on spending but that's just looks like we're cheap and we don't care...Well... What would it hurt to send DJ down for a couple of games. It might help him.
As long as management continues to cut corners, it's gonna be hard to be taken seriously.

Thank You!!!
As a resident of Bakersfield (home of the d-league affiliate) this reluctance to use the d-league never fails to piss me off. I know I’m being selfish, but i’d love to see DJ for at least a game or two.

I've wanted us to send DJ & Korolev in the past.
Korolev could have used it since he wasn’t doing anything on the team anyway. It’s kind of ironic that he ended up in the D-League this year…then again, maybe it’s not.
I understand the idea that it is better for them to learn by practicing against the pros, but at the same time, they can benefit by having actual on-court/in-game experience. In DJ’s defense, the team was always hurt and could barely run a 5 on 5 scrimmage in practice. This means that he had the opportunity to see action. Hopefully, if we have a 2nd round pick or sign an undrafted FA, we’ll use the D-League to get them some burn. I won’t hold my breath though.
Mike Taylor...
Should be in Bakersfield for us right now. We should have waived ricky buckets before the season began to keep Mike. Oh well.
+2
…during the Dunleavy era, we really under-utilized our D-League affiliates, especially the old Anaheim Arsenal. It would have been a nice way to further develop our young talent instead of just letting them rot on the bench all year. Also, it could have been another way to build up the fan base by marketing each other team; it would a way to see to the Orange County-based Clippers fans to follow the young guys, and kind of develop that bond.
We are the D League.
The league just doesn’t publicize it so nobody knows.
