A wothy theme for this year that hopefully could bring more wins. "Play Loud" did not mean anything. Instead the Clips "Play(ed) Lousy" and won a little bit more games. So , to be more meaningful, instead of just "Rise Up, I would suggest to add "and Win"!
Well, how do we rise up?
Let's start with the coaching situation - first of all the Clipper's organization is ambigous as to their intention. Whiles other teams are relentlessly proactive in looking for their new coaches, Clips are overly passive.. not a good way to start the Rise Up campaign. There's so much talk about 2nd rated coaches...are we looking at a four year plan to Rise Up? We have had enough of waiting!
I just read a report about the average games per season our core team have played. Believe it or not only EJ is sturdy with over 75 games per. Baron/Kaman/Jordan are all in the 60's and pretty much say that they are all fragile! (if I add Griffin, the average will be lower for the whole core team). The report also said that contending teams like the Boston and Lakers are averaging 70+ games for their core team. If we want to be in the playoff and be considered serious contenders we need to take a more serious and closer look on our program to keep our players healthy. Perhaps Baron & Kaman could not be improved at all, then we should get good subs for those two positions-players who could fill up the gap for at least 20 games per .
We have so much invested in this organization and I think we should also "Rise Up" with them. Darell's LBJ parade is a good example.
Your thoughts please.
