NEXT COACH?
With Phil Jackson stating that he is either coaching with the Lakers next year or not coaching at all and putting his chances at staying with the Lakers at 90%... Jeff Van Gundy telling Ed Stefanski that he's not ready to leave his job at espn... Recent interviews, rumors, and teams asking other teams for permission to interview assistants all are shaping a much more clearer picture as to what former coaches, assistants, and analysts are up to be head coach of an NBA team...
Of the available, who would you like as the next clippers coach?

I think you mean Jeff Van Gundy, not Stan Van Gundy
"look, you can find any coach you want, bring him in here and run the situation. But I don't think they are going to do as good a job as I do." -Mike Dunleavy Sr.
What about Elston Turner?
An Arnovitz favorite, long-time Adelman assistant. As qualified as Thibodeux and Casey only he works under a better coach than either of those guys.
I wouldn’t vote for him but a lot of people want Sam Cassel. You can’t leave him off the list.
You should be able to vote for three guys and have three negatives. My favorites are Turner, Casey, maybe Johnson, even Jackson.
Vandeweigh, McHale, and DelNegro are laughable inclusions.
then your not paying attention
there already have been multiple requests sent out for interviews. The fact of the matter is that interviews will not be given until the playoffs are over.
But the Clips, among other teams, have already started lining up interviews with coaches
Where is Jeff Van Gundy???
? He is my #1 pick, then Larry Brown, then Tom Thibadeau
I can dig it
If we’re going to throw Mark Jackson into the mix then Sam definitely needs mentioning as well.
Sam Cassell, the answer for the new Clipper coach.
Sam Cassell is the man,
i'm not as against the mark jackson idea as i used to be
i mean people consider nate mcmillan GOD these days and he was only an assistant two years. plus he actually WANTS the job, so that can’t be a bad thing. plus the “name” would at least get the masses interested. much like the free agent situation, i don’t see us getting a top-shelf guy here. =/
