I'm going to take a different take on this so hear me out. I feel Lebron James is a great player and if he were to come to the Clippers I would be happy, however I feel there could be a more interesting way to make a good team. What I mean is I would rather have a team that is solid in every position and plays like a team. I never really enjoyed seeing Lebron James walk up and down the court and basically do everything for his team. The Cavs had a lot of talent, they added excellent new pieces over the years, but they never got that much better because those players got used to watching Lebron dance around the front court. I would rather see a more team oriented team than a Lerbon run team. Seeing a team have comradery is much more plesent. The Oklahoma City Thunder have a great bond all those guys love to play with each other. Kevin Durant dominates, but he seems very down to earth and genuine I would rather have him on my team even if he is not quite as good as Lebron James. I really hated watching the pregame Clevland rituals where Lerbon would take fake pictures of his team and I really thought the throwing of the baby powder before each game was just another thing too boost his ego. If Lebron came to the Clippers he wouldn't help the city love the Clippers he would have the city loving Lebron and his new clothing lines. I have great respect for his ability, but I think his ego is just too large and it wouldn't improve in a city like Los Angeles. Right now Donald Sterling thinks hes pointing the Clippers in the right direction by letting Leron James dictate what he does like not hiring a coach. The biggest favor Donald Sterling can do for Clipper nation is to sell the team. Getting Lebron is not going to heal a lifetime of bad history. Developing a certain system will keep a team winning. Sure having a star player is good for awhile, but players like Lebron come once in a lifetime so if we got Lebron we would most likely go back to the old Clippers. The Spurs are going to be good forever, because they know what to do they have a system and they have a great coach in Greg Popavich. Getting Lebron is not a system it is like a band aid on a fresh wound. What would be nice is if the Clippers as a whole could buy into a coaches philosphy, that is the key to winning and great coaches really put time into defense. However if the Clippers continue to draft good prospects and use our cap space to sign a solid free agent SF, and we continue to develop a bench then the Clippers will be in good company. If the Clippers can establish a good system then the Clippers may be able to compete with the Lakers. If Lerbon comes to the Clippers it would be Lebron vs. the Lakers for the ownership of the city and in my opinion I don't like that. But what do you guys think about this whole thing?
