Thought I would move this approaching suspenseful moment up to a FanPost, as the SB Nation mock draft started up yesterday and it's moving towards SP's pick.  It's over at Ridiculous Upside, as was pointed out on the thread in Swagmeister's FanShot.  We could probably use a breakdown and analysis of recent mock drafts, some of which are mentioned in the thread.  SP is gearing up, but he doesn't sound very excited.

The SB Nation draft is interesting in the way that it shows how the Minnesota TWolves pick at #4 seems to be the linchpin pick for the Clippers.  Almost all of the mocks that I've seen have the Wolves taking Wes Johnson, but Wolves blogger Stop-n-Pop picked Demarcus Cousins, in an apparent and necessary attempt to bolster the Wolves frontline.  Sactown Royalty has taken Greg Monroe at #5.

This means that Johnson and Aminu are still on the board, with the Warriors and Pistons preceding SP's pick.  Others might have a better idea of what those teams need and what they might do.

I was curious to see what SP would do if Johnson and Aminu were both off the board.  Would he pick Hayward?  Now he might be picking Wes Johnson, and defending a highly unlikely no-brainer of a pick.  Less interesting, but it would a nice outcome.
