Have to admit, I wasn’t that impressed. The form on his jumper is ugly and may actually need fixing to have real range. He’s also practically a set shooter, which isn’t great.

What’s interesting is that his pre-game highlights show that he’s crazy athletic, but he doesn’t seem all that explosive in games. There is a difference between athleticism and explosiveness.

Anyway, you can only get so much from highlights, and as I’ve said numerous times, I’ve never actually seen him play. But it’s not great when the highlight package is disappointing.

He is a poor man’s Rudy Gay/Tyrus Thomas and I don’t think we can risk the 8th pick on a player that is so raw.

Luke Babbit and Aminu would be more worthy of the 8th pick. I see George as a late 1st round pick (16-22).
