As most of you may have heard John Wooden has passed away today.  John Wooden is easily one of the best and most renowned coaches in the history of Basketball and maybe in sports in general.  From his early days of high school coaching to his great successes coaching at UCLA he was truly an accomplished coach.  But John Wooden is also well known for his focus on education.  Wooden truly created the idea of a scholar athlete and his policies and ideas about education are often more quoted then anything related to Basketball. 

Beyond his dedication to sports and schooling Wooden was known to be one of the nicest guys in sports.  And Basketball and the world will truly miss him.
