Any News on the Coaching Front? The Candidate Pool is Shrinking Everyday.

Stay connected for news and updates

What's going on here?  Total radio silence regarding the coaching vacancy.  I get it, they want to wait until after draft and FA starts opening up.  What's the logic in that though?

The team is sitting idly while many of the candidates are finding jobs elsewhere.  Nets just hired Avery, Hawks are interviewing (Casey looks like a front runner there), Hornets are interviewing, yet the Clippers are just sitting here doing nothing.  Has there even been an interview (no I don't mean an announced "intention to interview" but an actual interview completed)?

Back to the logic thing.  Is the team really putting all of its eggs into the LeBron basket?  How do you sign a FA (besides LeBron) without a coach in place?  If I was a player, I would like to know who I was playing for.

A few months ago we talked about what would give indication to Sterling's mentality (spend to win or back to old mr frugal) and spending money to hire a big time coach was a main point.

So far we have an assistant GM promoted to GM in Oshley (cheap) and no inclination to who is going to be the coach.

Maybe there's more to the story.  Maybe the coach's are refusing to interview with the team, maybe the MDsr thing has made coach's avoid Clipperland.

Either way, I wish there were some answers.
