Crap. :-(
"i know huh........freakin clippers man.....its like a wild ride rooting for this team....gotta love em....(sometimes) lol" In GrIfFin We TrUsT
very sad...
and on my birthday….bummer…
let’s hope the investigation is still going on and it turns that it isn’t him.
Or at least that the report about being suicide are ruled out.
Makes no sense...
that he would kill himself. He was going to see his kids, seemed like he had some money. On that slideshow there was a picture of him with his kids tweeted just a few weeks ago and he seemed so happy.
I hope they find the scum that did this…

Very sad.
Do not worry. (Matthew 6:27)
Man, I feel sorry for his family
rest in peace.

Very sad indeed. Man, I didn't think it was going to go down like this.
I never thought Memphis as a place where things like this happened.
I drove through it once in the middle of the
night, there was no way I was staying there. I kept on driving.
Horrible news

RIP Lorenzen.
This is going to be my team, and we're going to rise together.
-Clipper Darrell
Damn
That sucks. Reminds you that the game is just a game, and PER doesn’t really mean jack in the grand scheme. RIP Lorenzen.

Crap he's right though
that 1996 team seems cursed. Final Destinations creepy.

Aha
I checked… Bison Dele actually played on the 1995-1996 team. Duckworth, Rogers, Sealy and Wright played on the 1996-1997 team. That’s still too many :(

I coulda sworn I heard Pooh Richardson on sports radio a few weeks ago...I don't even remember for what though...
Sad and Strange
This 96-97 team thing is bad. So sad and weird. I thought Rodney Rogers had to be on the list, but I forgot about Malik Sealy. Then there’s the rest of the stuff?
Anybody remember anything from that season and that team? Bill Fitch era.

Something doesn't sound right about this story
you don’t shoot someone more then a dozen times for a robbery, I don’t want to insinuate anything without a police report but there seems to be something more to this then just robbery. God I can’t imagine how the family must be dealing with this.

Dozen times?
I read multiple but a dozen or more is a ridiculous amount. Doesn’t make any sense that they ever thought it was a suicide.

There was a 911 call
so he tried calling for help. This is a sad sad event.

This is so sad.
I really hate this for his family. His kids have to go the rest of their lives without their father. I hope that whoever is responsible for this, is found quickly.
My thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones.
RIP
Never really watched him play but he was one of the few people in the world to live out their dreams and play in the NBA and make millions of dollars to support his family, that is an accomplishment in itself.
God will protect him now.

My favorite memory of Lorenzen Wright...
was watching him have this MONSTER game early in the season. He had 33 points and 26 rebounds. He always worked his tail off on the court.

Wright always be one of my favorite Clippers from the Fitch era.

He was one of the players that made me a Clipper fan.
It’s very sad news. All we can do is give our condolences to his family and friends.
Where was his defense that night?
Juwan Howard put up 36 against him.

Don't remember the game
but maybe Wright was guarding Bradley? I thought he played C for the Grizzlies. Would make sense too since he would have beasted Shawn “Look ma I’m on a poster” Bradley.

Gasol was a bench player
Must been his rookie year.
Do not worry. (Matthew 6:27)
Yep
that was just his 3rd game of his career. He went on a tear after that. He made me a happy fantasy basketball owner (and beer money in college).

Superstar Brevin Knight
scored the same amount of points as Pau Gasol. Just kidding about the “superstar” part by the way.

RIP Lorenzen Wright
Rather than focusing on the tragedy, it’s endearing that we can celebrate a great moment in his life by simply reminiscing about his greatest moment on the basketball court.

Can't help but notice
that this tragedy isn’t worthy of note for some “Clipper fans,” presumably because Wright’s projected wp48 for the ‘10-’11 season is .000

Wow really
is this really the right thing to say after something like this happens? Seriously? What’s wrong with you?

Look above
This isn’t what I said right after something like this happens. This is what I’m saying days later, when I realized that this was the one place your hero didn’t bother to add his $.02. Which was right after I realized that his only comment to the post about Steve’s visits to the ER with his kids was an attack on Jax.
