Gordon on motivating Baron
Interesting read. For obvious reasons, Gordon has attracted much attention these days from the Clipper faithful. His critics suggest that he doesn't have enough passion, fire, killer instinct, selfishness, whatever one wishes to call it. Perhaps some of those people may view this as a small step in the right direction in terms of being more overtly assertive in influencing the direction of this team. But then again, perhaps they will not. I am admittedly a solid fan of Eric, as I believe in the merits of quiet leadership on and off the court (Durant and Duncan come to mind). That said, I view this statement re: Baron as another sign in his maturation process, perhaps with a long term track toward being a legitimate leader of the team - through both words and actions.
