God just get rid of Sterling already

make him sell the team to Geffen, it can only be good for the league to get rid of DTS.

Article needs better reporting

Holloway happens to be Dunleavy’s brother-in-law, so no shocker he was stiffed. Wissel deserves better. This, coupled with DTS article yesterday, shows how the team values its employees. Ever hear of “tone at the top”? No wonder our front office is what it is. Why would anyone with talent work for such a group of stiffs?

We need a couple more DTS scandals to break before the start of the season

Space alien or douche bag, this guy isn’t immortal. Enough outrageous news, and maybe he’ll get washed out of town.

Roeser isn't a lawyer though

According to his bio on the Clippers website he’s been Team President since 1986… amazing considering he was just 26 or 27 at the time. Guess he knows how to make/save money but sadly he doesn’t know much about putting together a winning team

FA in 2010.

Right...

Roeser was ana ccountant, as a CPA myself, I’ve talked accounting to him before. The lawyer is DTS. He was a trial lawyer before all his real estate ventures.

When we win the NBA Championship, it will be that much sweeter!

Its amazing what can come out of DTS's mouth too..

I mean he’s a lawyer, so you expect him to be good with words. But we’ve read quite a few things that are quite idiotic coming from anybody.

Maybe we can get a medical official to rule him

senile and rule that he is unfit to make decisions about the future of a team. Just a thought.

I'm hesitant towards DTS

he may be the cheap, but he’s not Heisly cheap (no in terms of paying 110% of Henry’s rookie contract that is.)

The plus on DTS right now for me is he’s keeping the team in LA and he’s a little more willing to spend money on PLAYERS. The knack is every thing else.

by JackduhSun on Aug 20, 2010 11:31 AM PDT up reply actions

Yeah DTS seems to be a little more willing to spend money now a days

but unfortunately when he does stuff like this he makes it so players don’t want to come here even if he is willing to pay them. Another thing that may be concerning is what happens if player contracts become partially guaranteed, will DTS just start waiving players left and right to save money. I hope not, so far DTS has never had problem with not paying players and I think that non guaranteed or partially guaranteed contracts might lead DTS to not want to pay his players.

Knowing DTS

he’d still have to pay his players part of the salary, so he probably wouldn’t unless it saves him a huge chunk of change. I mean, he still has to fill that roster space with somebody else right?

As they say
