Halftime. Eric Gordon with 9 on three threes (he missed one). Durant has 8. US up by 20. I don't have NBA Classic, watching on crappy grey market feed. Obviously obsessed. Filling up post with words.
I have to say, this is the best August for Clipper fans ever: The Carmelo rumors. Fiba basketball. Eric Gordon on the rise.
Feed is bad, Canada audio supered over US game. Anyone else watching on this fine Saturday morning?

Coach K, up by 29 replaces starting five with Curry, Westbrook, Gordon, Gay and Love. Gordon nails another three.

caught the game at the 4th quarter
blowout by then, didn’t really see eric gordon do much but the game was over anyways. Croatia has some nice shooters though

2nd quarter, Gordon came in, shot 3-3 on threes...
Chandler was terrible, Durant is all-everything, Rudy Gay ballhogs, Steph Curry can’t cover anything. Westbrook is super quick. Love can bang. There.

What a display of shooting by EJ!
He changed that game in the 2nd quarter. It was a 22-20 game and EJ came in and nailed three 3pt field goals in that 1st half. USA went on a 24-2 run and never looked back.
EJ continued his great shooting in the second half with another 3pt, a baseline jumper, and a drive and the foul.
I will take 16 points on 6-8 shooting any day of the week :-)

That was scary efficient. Also, one of the two pointers was very close to being a three. Wow.

It was a very nice game for EJ.
I’m glad that he’s playing so well. As a fan of his and the Clippers, I was obviously pulling hard for him to make the team, but he has shown that he’s one of the most deserving to be on the squad and that it would have been a huge mistake to snub him. His 3 point shooting has been lights out. Can’t wait to see him in the new Clipper uniform and dominating with Blake.
SO HAPPY FOR ERIC!
This is THE perfect start to this for Eric. Talk about riding the wave of his confidence, the guy played the most minutes of anyone. He was a scoring machine and definite player of the game. I’m gonna tear up, our little boy is growing up before our eyes.
EJ's the man
I’ve read several comments that people were unable to get the game on TV. I watched the game on ESPN3 on my computer at work. Wasn’t the game also on ESPN? I think all of the games are to be shown live online. Slovenia is tomorrow at 6:30AM LA time.
Not to make a negative out of a positive, but I would hope (and expect) del Negro to run an offense that gets EJ more shots this season. There’s no question that he can be a major force for the Clips if Baron becomes a distributor first and the offense doesn’t go through Kaman.

It was on ESPN Classic this morning which a lot of people (including me) don’t have. I have Time Warner for internet so I can’t get ESPN3 feeds either. I would imagine others have the same situation.

Brandon Rush, anyone?
I read that Brandon Rush was suspended by the NBA for drug use. I guess the players’ contract calls for a player to flunk a test on marijuana 3 times before suspension. So, Brandon had more than fair warning. And, they test only during the season.
Which reminded me of the guy on here who claimed that trading Bush for Gordon would be a fair trade. It’s time for that person(s) to step forward, go to confessional and admit his mistake.
