Eric Gordon: On the Radar
Gordon's Got the Touch - Chris Sheridan
"He made like seven in a row, or seven of eight. We lost count after that, he just kept making shots. We were playing on two courts, and we were turning to each other saying 'Are you seeing this?' And everybody started looking over and he kept it going," Triano said.
Latest article by Chris Sheridan on Team USA basketball. He gives plenty of well-deserved praise for Eric Gordon who scored a team-high 16 points with 4 3-pointers and also led the team with 22 minutes. Finally, EJ is getting the credit he rightfully deserves!

I agree!
It is great to see EJ get some love from the media.
A couple of things I dont like…. vs. Greece EJ was the leading scorer with18pts and ESPN didn’t include him in the highlights.
Today, NBATV has highlights that are 1:30 long and they don’t even mention his name. Also in ESPN’s highlights they say he scored 13 points…which is also wrong, lol.
And yet….They continue to include every Durant make/dunk and even a missed dunk in warmups, lol.
Funny...
They had 13 points in the graphic too. Seems hard to screw up the leading scorer, but they managed.

yes....
seems durant gets to be leading scorer…
shocker
Yea seems like the media is very hesitent
To give credit to gordon . I think it was vs Greece when I saw a report that just wouldn’t admit Gordon scored morehan durant. I think the headline wa that durant and Gordon combined for 30 something points but at no point mentioned the induvidual stat. Glad to see Gordon get some recognition. Just hope they win the gold and maybe he’ll be a household name

I hope EJ...
still takes it to the rack and does not get too comfortable on the perimeter. He is not going to be that efficient every night from downtown. I want to see him be aggressive in the lane too.
I am glad that he is getting some LOVE—- from ESPN too—- WOW!
I want him to be more aware of his surroundings
If he’s driving, the defense is bound to be focued on Gordon. Gordon needs to start to realize where his teammates are at, and rather than drive into players sometimes, it’d be nice for him to kick it out to somebody that is wide open. If Gordon goes 17 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assist, I count that as a very good improvement because he’s crashing the boards and looking for his teammates more.

I watched the game earlier
EJ passed the ball on 3 seperate occasions to set up team mates but unfortunately his team mates couldnt knock down shots. I think he is figuring it out though.
That's good news.
I was at a mtg for a work.

Let’s hope it can transition over NBA and that Gomes can shoot consistantly.

+1
EJ is passing the ball just fine in FIBA play. It is just the players aren;t hotting their shots or their layups..Kevin Love..cough, lol.
As far as “driving into other players”, I don’t know what Jack is saying? I don’t know if I have ever seen EJ get a charge at any level…college, NBA, or FIBA?
He drives into traffic alot
rather than avoid it. Are you going to attempt to make an arguement otherwise again and fail miserably?

No, I wont attempt to argue and fail miserably. I don't want to upset thee.
So sorry “master” JackduhSun…
Gordon kicked it out during drives at least twice (and probably more) during today’s game. Alas, most of the jumpers were whiffed by teammates.

gordon is 20 or 21
he’s 20 or 21….he has so much upside and with griffin, these are the best young (or old)1, 2 punch the clips have ever had…home grown…real clippers, not someone brought in who doesnt want to be here.
dont forget
Cassell and Brand. They were a good duo.

No
Billups is a veteran and he deserves the starting spot on Team USA. I think EJ is enjoying this 6th man role as a shooter off the bench.
It's like J-Kidd in the olympics
They’d start him to make sure the team didn’t get off to a rocky start, then put in the work horses a little later and they get the bulk of the minutes.
