There have been rumors of Indiana possibly being willing to trade Danny Granger. With the exception of Gerald Wallace, this may be the best "realistic" player the Clips can get their hands on. So, with that, I'd be on the phone to Indiana with this offer:
Kaman, Aminu, Foye and the Minnesota pick
Danny Granger and Jeff Foster.
Foster is in the last year of his contract and a solid banger who could back up DJ for the interim. The trade works because Indiana has a 4.5 million trade exception. Granger is the last piece of the puzzle and he's signed for four years. Wallace is only signed for 2.
I don't think the Clippers will get a better player with the Minny pick. NBA Draft.net says Austin Rivers and Quincy Miller are the 2 best players. But they will be 19, how long will it take to get them ready when there's a 20 ppg scorer just waiting out there.
I would love to send that team into battle. And it would wash the stink of the Korolev draft pick out of our lives.
