Minnesota and The 2012 Pick

So it seems the CP3 trade has come down to whether or not the Clippers will be willing to off the Minnesota 2012 first round pick. Now, in my opinion, the offseason changes made by the Timberwolves have no longer made this pick as much of a slam dunk as we here at ClipsNation take it to be. Derrick Williams, Ricky Rubio, Michael Beasly, Kevin Love. It feels like we've seen Rick Adelman do more with less, which leads to my point. I feel like the risk the 2012 pick brings, even in a loaded draft, of being just average, outweighs the risk of Chris Paul not signing with us after playing with BG, EJ, and DJ. I feel like it outweighs the risk of CP3's Knees as well. I think we all see how scary this team would be with Paul, and not grabbing this opportunity would be a mistake. If CP3 is telling the truth when saying that the Clips are his next option, then maybe its time to give up the Minny pick, and go with the All-star.

Thoughts? PS Is it possible to get his guarantee that he would opt in to his final year of his contract?
