Clarification: noted LAC would need CP3 long-term to include Minn 1st. Long term is opting in for the 12-13 season. which i'm told he will.

@RicBucher

Is this going down tonight? Even if Clips offer minny, that doesn't mean that NOH has to accept it... but that's definitely going to be the best offer they see.

Kaman, Bledsoe, Aminu, and MIN 2012 should be enough for Paul. If Gordon is in the deal, I’m not a happy camper.

Totally agree.

If Gordon is in the deal I say we pull the pin.

I would rather have Gordon for the next 4-5 years along side Paul for at least two of those.

We would have a very strong starting 5 for the next 2 years at a minimum (barring injuries of course!)

Lord knows, the bandwagoners have already started up with their usual “Sterling is cheap, Griffin is going to be a Laker, Clippers are the JV team” garbage and CP3 hasn’t even been traded yet.

Don't feel bad about them period

It’s about time they get a taste on what we’ve been tasting for the past 20 years. They had Kareem, Magic, Worthy, The Logo, Shaq, and Kobe while we had only Bob Mcadoo, Elton Brand, and Corey Maggette. It’s our turn to rule L.A. The Lakers need to take a seat because we’re ready to explode.

i think gordon will stay with clippers as long as we will have him

if we trade him, he’s likely to bolt from his new location. Clips have had 3 years to convince him. NOH would have 1 year following him being demotivated by Olshey breaking his word.

No way that's on the table

Neil would barely send Aminu, Bledsoe, and Kaman for a 1 year rental. If he gets his wish of Paul exercising his option, he’s sure as hell not going overboard and sending as much as Gordon, the Minny pick and then a future first rounder just for an extra year.

Deron Williams trade should be referenced and they didn’t lose talent anywhere near gordon. Favors, Harris and 2 picks. This would be suicide for our franchise, we are being held hostage for being the clippers in this scenario.

Lol Mo complimented him on twitter

May I make a quick suggestion? Would you open up a “thread” where all of us guys in our mother basement can go to rather than going to fanpost/fanshot./story…. just making life a bit easier.

Thanks in advance.

That is odd

Because the Dwight Howard front has been really quiet today. I dont think he gets traded for at least another couple of days.

Are AFA/Kaman etc practicing with the Clips?

Good to read Ralph The Mouth talk up Trey Thompkins practice performance. Would be a pleasant surprise.

by wilriv21 on Dec 11, 2011 10:34 PM PST reply actions

It isnt surprising

He was considered a pretty nice grab. Just was overweight and had some questions about maturity and work ethic.

Skills are all there supposedly.

Anyone play nba 2k12 here??

I can’t believe some of the players ratings in this game….. Dirk at 85!?!? He’s lower than freakin Rudy Gay!!!

we’re cheap, like to drink and are pissed off.

by ClipperBEAST on Dec 11, 2011 10:36 PM PST reply actions

It takes defense into account

And handles and stuff like that. The ratings are also comparative- Dirk’s rebounding numbers look ok in isolation, but compared to most bigs he is a horrid rebounder and a pretty bad defender as well.

They trash DJ though. And look at Caron Butler- an 81 I believe.

by NewCavsfan on Dec 11, 2011 10:37 PM PST up reply actions

Thats the reason I still haven't purchased it

Still playing 2k11

I always wait until christmas

to get the new one. lets me get a feel on the league before I start gm’ing my brains away. This year, I guess I will start on opening day

by LJ Hann on Dec 11, 2011 10:41 PM PST up reply actions

the first thing i do is turn on force trade

and get minny’s pick. but in the game, CP3 would likely resign, and hornets therefore aren’t desperate to trade him

by LJ Hann on Dec 11, 2011 10:43 PM PST up reply actions

Oh yeah

Probably why they dont trade him.

by NewCavsfan on Dec 11, 2011 10:44 PM PST up reply actions

ryan gomes is the lowest rated SF on the Clippers roster, and that includes jamario moon

by AudioDope on Dec 11, 2011 10:38 PM PST up reply actions

Dont be a Moon hater

I love that guy. I hope he finds his way to another NBA team. I am actually surprised the Lakers didnt grab him. They need some good athleticism and defense on the wings.

by NewCavsfan on Dec 11, 2011 10:40 PM PST up reply actions

dont feel too sorry for Moon,

he can always make a nice living in Europe

by big0lbad on Dec 11, 2011 10:41 PM PST up reply actions

kaman's shot sucks in 2k12

the release point is way off, in 2k11 it was right on.

by ClipperBEAST on Dec 11, 2011 10:43 PM PST reply actions

At first I was against this deal for CP3

But the Clippers need to do it, just so they can splash it to the Lakers like shit coming out of their assholes and into the toilet.
It’s about making the statement, and making it work. Fuck it, trade Gordon if that’s what it takes. Fuck it, sign Mike Redd for the vet minimum, he’ll sign just to get some rings (yes, I said rings) with the Clippers. The Clippers will be the talk of the town for a good decade if this happens. I hope it does. Fuck it! Send Kaman to Dallas for Marion and Haywood. Let’s go!!!

One of the best PG's

But, I think we can get him without letting go of Gordon.

by SurfinQ00 on Dec 11, 2011 11:06 PM PST up reply actions

i'm not sure i'd trade chris paul for this 2 year rental deal.

say he uses the player option to stay one more year for 2 total. That just means when the season starts next year the Clippers will possibly be in the situation that NO is in with NYK as it’s trading partner (or some other top team CP3 wants to go to). I’m not sure it’s worth the hassle for a rental. I like our team now. Let’s play ball.
