Stephen A. Smith destroys two Laker fans.

Youtube link here.

I apologize in advice for the hum and low quality, but this brought an even bigger smile to my face than the Paul news. I'm sure a lot of Lakers fans are in panic mode right now, as they should be, but this is a big reason why I decided to not root for the Lakers. After growing up around so ignorant fans, and witnessing the riots after their win, I just couldn't do it.

I'm sure there are many educated, die-hard Lakers fans who I have nothing but respect for. This only makes me worry about the potential bandwagoners that we will undoubtedly have, so a special shoutout to shay for his Bandwagon post.

I heard this earlier when I was driving

Classic. I loved when he asked the guy, “You’re desperate, aren’t you?”

Also, his thoughts on Kobe asking for a trade a month into the season if the Lakers don’t start off strong is something to note. Stephen A. Smith always seems to have a strong pulse of the players.

Wasn't a big fan of Stephen A.

But this was really funny!!

we’re cheap, like to drink and are pissed off.

He's definitely grown on me

I actually look forward to his show driving home from work now…

Hes grown on me too because he's not a Laker homer

That segment was hilarious. Seriously, thanks to Bui for posting that haha.

thought he was kinda hard on the first guy

saying the lakers might be better off with Scola, Martin, and Dragic, over just Gasol. But to say they could be used as additional assets for Howard was very “Lakery”

The second guy…. “Why can’t we just go out and get like Kevin Love”…..“goodbye”… loved it.

The 2nd caller got in a zinger right after the Kevin Love thing

oh man, some of these Laker fans are so bad

my dad said the same thing about KLove… Why the hell would the TWolves trade Love to the Lakers? what could the Lakers possibly trade for Love?

by AtotheZ on Dec 15, 2011 11:42 PM PST up reply actions

the first guy kinda dug himself into a hole

after being unaware why the rockets would trade all those pieces for just pau gasol- to sign another big man, perhaps like nene or the other gasol.

I wonder if that's how they are all feeling

They were desperate, specially the first guy and i loved how smith read him telling him he was lying.

Thanks for the shoutout. I have to say though I have much respect for the Laker fans that stay Laker fans.

I have respect for informed laker fans

however they are far out numbered by the ones who say they can trade for Kevin Love by just giving up scrap (although with Kahn if they had guards to give him you never know).

There seems to be a sense of entitlement in Laker fans

They have a “right” to be a top contender every year and it’s an NBA conspiracy if that doesn’t happen. Callers on previous days said Dwight Howard has to come to the Lakers because they have a tradition of great centers. Why should the New Jersey Nets get Howard … they don’t have a tradition of having great centers. I always get a laugh.

Steven A. likes to hear himself talk....

I wonder if he’ll ever lose that chip on his shoulder. I understand the struggle he may have endured, but DANG! Problem is, that energy feeds in to what is selling/purchased: entertainment.

He’s got a good level of credibility and does not play favorites.
