How about trading for Paul Milsap and Raja Bell?
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMa...tradeId=7po6xkm
The trade machine still hasn't updated current trade exceptions, but the Clippers have a trade exception large enough to absorb Raja Bell's contract. Bell is set to earn around $6.8 million for the next two seasons.
The trade proposal would be:
The Clippers trading Randy Foye's expiring contract and Eric Bledsoe for Paul Milsap and Raja Bell. The Clippers would use their trade exception to absorb Bell's contract.
The Jazz get an expiring contract in Foye, salary relief by getting out of Bell's contract, and they add another young piece in Bledsoe to their promising young core.
The Clippers get a third big to bring off the bench in Milsap and add a veteran backup SG in Raja Bell. The Clippers could then use their $2.5 million exception to sign backup center Alexis Aijinica.
Jordan/Aijinca/Cook
Grffin/Milsap/Thompkins
Butler/Gomes/
Billups/Bell/Leslie
Paul/Williams/Warren
The Clippers would add a whole lot more playoff experience....

Shouldn't you be focused on managing your own team, Mitch? :P
In all seriousness, that’s the kind of trade proposal a bandwagon Laker fan would throw out there.
Clippers // Chargers // Rays // Boise State
"The Lakers do win games. But things can change." - Blake Griffin
first thing i thought too
cmon we dont need this kind of outlandish thinking here as clipper fans just because we traded for a franchise player
+1
Exactly what I was going to say. I hope this isn’t a sign of things to come around here…
Proudly enduring the pain since the days of Bill Walton's foot.
Now living the good life in Lob City, CA.
Unfortunately
We aren’t the Lakers. Which means we can’t do any trade we want. Our exception from trading Gordon is 3.8 million. That isn’t 6.8, and you can’t package exceptions.
I did think of Utah
and their glut of big men as a potential solution to our front court rotation. Problem is, if they’re looking to move any of them, it’s probably Jefferson and Okur, and build around Favors, Kanter, and Millsap. I don’t think we want any part of Jefferson and his contract as a back up, and I’m sure they’d want more assets than the clips have if they consider moving him. Okur just doesn’t interest me, maybe would work as a short term solution for the clips. At least he’s expiring, but he doesn’t seem that much more appealing than guys much cheaper, that are FA.
No reason for Utah
I admire your effort, but Utah wood be taken to the “woodshed” if they agreed to this deal. Not going to happen.
"Where will the Clippers be without Sean Rooks" - The big red head
No.
Bell turned into every Red Sox and Yankees player for me when he single-handidly killed us/knocked us out of the playoffs years back. I could never root for that guy.
