Why not Boki Nachbar?

I saw him last play in New Jersey and thought he was a great role player for them. He would also fit in well with a great PG (NJ had Kidd, we have Paul).

He can play the 3 or pinch 4 in a smaller line-up and shoots the ball reasonably well from deep.

I know I'd rather him over Gomes in any rotation.

Most of all he wouldn't cost much.

Thoughts?

Admiral Nachbar??

sure, he might be a better scorer than Gomes, but don’t underestimate Gomes’ defense. And since we already have gomes under contract, and we have 14 players, and we really need a big… that’s why not.

Pretty much the contract is keeping Gomes here

he’d be a minimum guy after last season.

the bar is so low

Gomes 4 pts, 2-4 fg, 0 rebs, 3 ast in 25 minutes. I’m just happy he won’t be playing 25 minutes a night during the regular season anymore.

Funny, I was thinking Nachbar would be a great pickup as well.

That guy could ball and I liked his game. I wonder why he left the league…

However, he wouldn’t address our most important need of a center.

Also, I don’t have a problem with Gomes coming off the bench. I think the pressure coming off will help him bounce back this year.

I remember him playing mind games with Karl Malone

that one year he was with the Lakers. Nachbar was with the Rockets. Playoffs. Nachbar was roughly half his size, but played so physical on Malone that he tore part of his jersey off. Malone was so mad. It was awesome.

I like him, but the Clips need a physical C/PF more than a 3.

I've been wanting him for a while.

He may not be a 4/5, but he is tough as nails top notch defender. I’d take him over gomes any day.
