Around SBN: Yankees Deny Rumors That Team Is For Sale

Clippers Fans > Lakers Fans

On Monday, I sat in the 6th row at the game against the Lakers. The crowd mainly consisted of Lakers fans. The few Clippers fans that I saw were children under the age of 12. For obvious reasons, I didn't talk any smack to Lakers Fans or make a scene, not that I really had to. When my team makes a good play, I stand up and cheer. I had no choice but to hop out of my seat when Deandre made that first incredible dunk. As I was standing up and cheering for my team a man behind me yelled "Sit down bandwagoner!". Even though I'm not a bandwagon fan, I didn't really care. Atleast the some of Laker fans have a little fire in them. For the most party majority Lakers fans were pretty lame.

How do the fans not get excited about a preseason opener against their new LA rival? How do they not make noise other than the times it says "make some noise!) on the big screen? How is it that they are able to boo at Chris Paul louder than they are able to cheer for their team.

The Staples Center was louder at the Clippers home game against The Heat than it was for a Lakers finals game against the Celtics.

poor sports/not used to being on the bottom end

How do the fans not get excited about a preseason opener against their new LA rival?
Because LAL doesn’t look at it as a rivalry, because they have always been dominant..also its only preseason

How do they not make noise other than the times it says "make some noise!) on the big screen?
LAL fans tend to be fans because the Lakers are popular…not always the most NBA/basketball savy people

How is it that they are able to boo at Chris Paul louder than they are able to cheer for their team.
because they are sour…sour that the Clippers got a great player, sour that they didn’t

"bandwagon fan"

for this reason…I am hesitant on getting a Paul jersey. Paul has always been one of my favorite players and having him on my favorite team is even better…

but bandwagon fan? that is one of the reason why i became a LAC fan…because i didnt want to be labeled a bandwagon Laker fan

part of the reason i resisted on a Blake Griffin jersey, the other part was that the Team LA store didnt have my size haha. And that is why, for now, I will just sport my Gordon jersey.

IMO, a non-bandwagon fan will know what a “Gordon #10” is. not always true for a bandwagon fan

You can tell the bandwagoners apart by checking if they have the old jerseys or the new ones :)

I’ve never owned a jersey in my life. only caps and t-shirts. i was a poor kid.

Should have told him to sit down....

But they usually are sitting down because they’re too cool to celebrate. They’re just bitter about everything. A bunch of whiners that hardly knows anything about basketball. I’m sure he didn’t wear any Lakers gear and probably was wearing Gucci sunglasses, a pressed long buttoned up shirt with his man-purse over his shoulder.

road blues were my favorite jerseys. Too bad they never played very well in them, haha. I had a fake Griffin road blue, but gave it to a friend.

It's not a team fan issue...it's just a fan issue

As the fanbase for the Clippers grows, we’re going to run into some of the same problems.

"We?"

Newty, I’ve seen your posts over on the Lakers Blog playing both sides, tattling on Clipper fans in this blog being “obnoxious” towards the Lakers. You, sir, are a mugwump and not a clipper fan.

Despite all the hate I've doled out over the years...

I must admit, I own a Baron Davis jersey. I’m still going to get a CP3 one though, because it’s freaking CP3.

the irony of a laker fan calling a clipper fan a bandwagoner is too much

these people have enjoyed winning for far too long. Now that they are faltering they are lashing out at us. It’s pathetic, I will revel in their mediocrity this year.

I also find it hilarious

That they think they have these GREAT trading assets and that they deserve to basically get anything they want.
1. Bynum is NOT worth Dwight, or any great player at that. He is injured 50% of his career, and even when he is healthy, he is barely the 5th best PURE center. Many people say he is the 2nd best, but those are the idiotic fans. I would say that he is behind Dwight, Al Horford, Al Jefferson, Marc Gasol, and then he is around DeMarcus cousins and such.
2. They didn’t DESERVE Paul. They think that this deal was great, well, Hornets got a freaking crazy deal with the Clippers!
3. Why do they think their trade exception is worth gold? People are saying they should trade it for Josh Smith or Mo Williams? Just because they traded Lamar for it, doesn’t mean it holds any value.

by SurfinQ00 on Dec 20, 2011 7:32 PM PST reply actions

True

our deal with the hornets was on the table before the lakers deal. the hornets ended up winning out more with the clippers trade. now i don’t think stern handled things in the best way. but if he is technically the owner of the hornets than he would want to find the best deal for the team. that’s exactly what he did. but hey, we will never hear the end of it from laker fans.

But when the Clippers up by 20 pts, those same Laker Fans leaving early. (but its only a preseason game as they say) But anyways this Clipper season. will be a VERY GOOD ONE.
