Tonight against Phoenix: Godon for the win!

Tonight I watched the New Orleans versus Phoenix game. Gordon had the opportunity to have the ball in his possession for the last shot for the lead and nailed it. I was waiting for Gordon to mess up in his new role but he did not fail. Then on defense watched Gordon make it very difficult for Phoenix to get the ball in to Steve Nash for their last 4.5 seconds to take the lead back

Ariza tried earlier to be the man for a clutch shot and seemed to botch it. I get the feeling that Ariza may not like too much someone coming to the team like Gordon and trying to take over. Landry seemed to want to be the man on his own as well perhaps when he had a clear opportunity to pass the ball to a wide open Chris Kaman under the basket opting for a shot almost on his but as he was falling back while being guarded. Good closer for Gordon.

Gordon: 9-18 fg 20 pts, 4 rb, 3 ast, 1 stl, 1 to, 1 blk
