I'm not going to say that the Clippers need to make HUGE changes, because the truth is, we have played 4 games together and our shooting has been off and our defense has been terrible. If we do make anymore changes on the roster, I would say we should do it now rather than later. Now I know what I am about to say is far-fetched and Crazy, but personally I think we would have THE BEST roster (and hopefully team) in the league if we made these moves.
1. I know I will lose many of you here already, but just think about it. Package a deal of Foye+Williams+Bledsoe for New Orleans Ariza+Jack. Why do we do this? We don't need all these guards, but Ariza could be the defensive SF we need and Jack can be back up PG (this is only if Williams is truly unhappy as our sixth man). Why does NO do this? Well, they have already shown interest in Williams, and that means they would most likely bench Jarrett Jack again. They key here is Bledsoe. They obviously wanted him from the start, and I'm sure they still want him. I know many of you will say, we should keep Bledsoe. We don't need 3 PGs (4 including billups) on the team.
2. It's obvious we need a back up bigman. I think we should basically beg Pryzbilla to join the Clippers. He is a much better defender than Cook and he can be a great backup big for when DeAndre gets into foul trouble.
3. Sign Bogans! He isn't a solid scorer, but he is an above average defender. He has the size to guard any two man and he has the capability to make a basket or two.
Overall, these Clippers aren't being ask to rise anymore. They have the assets to win already. In order to keep CP3 and Blake Griffin on the team, we have to start winning now rather than later. Just look at this roster.
With a 2nd team of Jack, Bogans, Ariza, Evans, Przybilla... Well, that is most likely the best 2nd unit in the league, not to mention that could rival many 1st units. This team may not be a killer scoring team, but it is obvious we don't need that right now. We need solid defenders, and those backup players do the job.
