... which position would you prioritize (if any)?
For simplicity sake, let's assume that that the Clips don't make any major moves before the deadline. So Kaman and DJ are still on board, along with everybody else. DJ's contract is still an open issue.
I ask because the matter seems debatable, and meanwhile I'm wondering if there any prospects that people here are excited about. But let's also stipulate that we end up with a mid-lottery selection, so no, we don't get to have our pick of the litter. As our turn arrives, we may very well have our choice of a few players on the same talent tier, in which case the player's position will likely be a determining factor.
I can see us wanting another center, as that would free us up to trade Kaman or to let DJ walk. I can also see us picking a SF, although another rookie may not be how we want to fill that need. For those Foye detractors among us, perhaps we ought to start developing a SG replacement ASAP. And then there's the all-important PG position, which reminds us of Baron's injuries and Bledsoe's uncertain developmental arc. I have a hard time seeing us drafting a PF, but maybe Smith, Ike, and/or Cook can be improved upon. They say that this draft is particularly strong at the 4.
Meanwhile, I'm twiddling my thumbs waiting for the all star game. Go Blake!
