The Clippers were shot down by the Nuggets in their pursuit of Danilo Gallinari, but they aren't done trying to find a sharp-shooting small forward to add to the roster.

Sources say Clippers GM Neil Olshey was been canvasing the league looking for a starting 3 to round out L.A.'s roster. The Clippers have multiple first-round picks to offer, as well as young players like Eric Bledsoe and Al-Farouq Aminu and veterans like Chris Kaman.

There are a few SF that the Clippers should pursue.

Marvin Williams, Donte Greene, Wilson Chandler, Mike Dunleavy, and Danny Granger.

I am sure only two are on the trading block….Marvin and Donte.

Heh

kind of doubt they would go after Junior…

Casspi is better than Greene anyways. In fact Greene might be a downgrade of Gomes if that’s possible.

I wouldn’t mind Chandler BUT the Clips better be looking into how much it will cost to sign him in the summer or else they waste draft picks for a 2 month rental.

Help us Altered Beast you're our only hope.

Not sure I'd want anyone on that list

Williams, Greene, and MDJr for basketball reasons, Chandler for contract-status reasons, and Granger for what-would-it-cost-to-get-him reasons.

Plenty of other options

Just not the 5 he mentioned. Would rather have Gallo, or Crash, or see who becomes available this summer rather than rushing into a bad trade before the deadline. You see Gallo as a bad trade. Others don’t. I see these as bad trades. Your mileage may vary.

Plenty of other options as far as players, but

“basketball reasons”, “contract-status reasons” and “what-would-it-cost-to-get-him reasons” pretty much covers all the reasons to make or not make a move.

Huh?

I have no idea what point you’re trying to make here. One or another of those reasons covers why I wouldn’t want the Clips to go after those 5 specific players. As I just said, IMO, none of those would be reasons not to trade for Gallo or Crash. I was just being specific as to why I didn’t agree with that particular list. There are plenty of other trade targets I would prefer.

I know you think I’m a douche, but that’s no reason to come at me with an utterly illogical retort that reads like pure gibberish. Save your hostility for when you actually have something to say.

If you want acquire a decent player

you are probably going to have to compromise in one of those areas. You either have to give up something of value, or take on an unfavorable contract.

I guess you were saying that you want to get something for nothing. Ok, me too.

Thanks for posting that. It was enlightening.

Not what I said at all

Gee, wonder why I accuse you of intellectual dishonesty. I pretty clearly stated, numerous times, that I’d be willing to give up something of value for Gallo or for Crash. Just not willing to give up something of value for overrated players (M Williams), or for players who would be rentals (Chandler), or who I think aren’t going to be moved by their current team unless they’re blown away by a sky-high offer (Granger). Not trying to get something for nothing. Just trying to avoid giving up something for something less.

Amazing that you’re the one calling me a douche, when this may be the most douchey series of responses I’ve ever seen.

That's nice

I have decided that you are not worth much more than whatever douchery I can offer. So you may continue to receive douchey replies from me.

Just responding in kind.

And I've decided

That you’re really not all that bright. So I’ll stop accusing you of “intellectual dishonesty” and will just go with “dishonesty,” or perhaps just “dum-de-der-de-dum.”

I really doubt anyone on the Knicks was available until the Melo trade went through. Any other trades would only have been made to facilitate that one.
