Is Blake really pissed? I feel like he might be pissed if we didn’t sign DJ or EJ.

Who cares about DJ

Sign EJ at any price! We can get a player with DJ’s talent in the freaking draft!

We are the Clippers! What else is new?

BG cares about DJ they are BFFs

Don't think Blake is pissed

He knows the deal just like everyone else does. It’s a business; the guys are sad because they’ve been with him for 2 years. These guys are with each other bonding, traveling, and practicing all season long. It’s emotional. But they know it’s a business and I know they know that Baron isn’t taking them to the next level. Baron is replaceable, they’re just losing a friend. Same goes for Camby, Thornton, Randolph, etc.

Trade away someone more meaningful and you may have an argument; not the case for Baron Davis.

I think Blake is happy

It shows him the the Clippers are ready to build around him. Getting rid of Baron is the first step. It had to be done. The pick isn’t that big a deal. We have enough young guys. And, Mo is a decent stopgap at guard.

i almost kind of think of this as similar to when the cavs got rid of ricky davis right after they drafted lebron.

i remember davis was actually good then maybe averaging 20ppg. and he wanted to still be that scorer but they knew lebron needed clear domain for it. i guess this is almost more for EGs sake.

sort of like when the lakers got rid of eddie jones for kobe…

how so

I clearly recall EJ performing just fine with Baron at the helm
