Prayers for Baron and his family
Sad that she passed right after he left town. Being near his Grandmother is one of the reasons he chose to join the Clippers.
Perhaps going forward he won’t feel as bad about being in Cleveland.
Do not worry. (Matthew 6:27)
Prayers and condolence
Things must be really tough for Baron. I wish him and his family the best through hard times.
I still remember that Before the Bigs special on Baron and how much his grandmother and grandfather really meant a lot to him….
sad day.
Baron Davis, "OHH YEAAH!"
dang
yea, I remember he’d always be talking about his grandma. I think I remember reading something a while ago where she wasn’t doing very well, and was really worried for baron and how he would handle such a loss.
Condolences to BD
I visited the Warriors website when he was still playing in GS and they had some contest for the fans about who inspires you the most or something and Baron mentioned his grandma.
My thoughts and prayers are with Baron and his family.
This is sad for him. She was the most important person in his life and helped push him to be all that he is. Fans/media often criticize him for things that he does (or doesn’t do), but his life has been a true success story when you consider where he came from and all that he has been able to accomplish. She was not doing too well during the time of the trade and that was a reason for the hold-up of him getting to Cleveland and the deal being finalized.
She did live a long life. I believe she was 89. So, for him it’s good to have that in your genes. She was always on him about his play and his attitude. I hope that his desire to want to make her proud will bring out the best in him now and in the future.
