Griffin will be the face of the nba
The front office cannot whiff this summer (a la Gomes) and must add either a star or a legit role player with room to add another star down the road (a la D-Will) if the team underachieves again. Not sure about the Mo Williams comparison. . .Mo was brought in as LeBron’s sidekick after 5 years of crappy backcourts featuring Eric Snow, Damon Jones etc. at the point. Mo is not a bad PG to have while we continue our rebuilding process (and our second best shooter). I highly doubt he will be the Clips starting point guard one or two years from now.
Heh...
So because they couldn’t win a championship (small sample size), this completely erases the Mo-Lebron Cavs winning 60+ games both years during the season (large sample size)? I guess this means the Bulls really sucked this year.
Also, the comparison of Mo’s three-point-shooting to Baron’s is kind of silly, and the non-mention of Eric Gordon (who is far more important and who will be playing with Blake much longer) is weird. I think this article is kind of a “miss,” and that’s not just because I’m biased (though that’s probably partly why).

These Bleacher articles are always sub-par.
“It just seems that the Clippers’ executives have forgotten how to season such a huge talent and place those necessary pieces around him”.
Kinda hard to “forget” how to do something you’ve literally never done before…

I agree - worthless

yea
seems like they’re all written by college students. Some of them are pretty good, but in general they’re pretty hit or miss. I like reading some of the funny ones, but I don’t take the serious ones all too seriously.
As far as this article, it’s weird to focus on Mo, who to be honest was brought on more as cap relief without sacrificing too much talent. I don’t think anyone thought he was ever going to take the team to the next level, like he was when he landed in Cleveland.
And all this time I thought the cavs' underperformance in the playoffs was lebron's fault...
I guess Mo should’ve been more of a hero and carried that damn team himself.

does eric gordon exist?
does anyone that’s not a clipper fan know who he is? this puzzles me everytime i read an article talking about how blake needs help. yeah he needs help and ej isn’t the only answer, but they act as if blake has no teammates and that ej is just a throw away.

Makes me worry...
I don’t want to see EJ leave for a franchise where he will get the recognition he deserves. At least the Clips org knows how important he is and tries to remind everyone. But they should try harder to make EJ more of a visible figure in the league

They just need to win more
Griffin is such a towering figure, but EJ’s stellar play will get noticed if they can win more games next season. . .I hope Ej gets top 5 in scoring and makes the all-star team with Blake, and shuts people like dumbass Jimmy Kimmel who said recently ‘The Clippers have one good player, Griffin.’
What a moron.
He's going to have to let his play do the talking.
From a playing standpoint, Gordon received a lot of praise from those who actually watched the FIBA games last summer. That’s not the casual fan, but he did open up a lot of eyes to his strengths and abilities. Early this season, he was a top 8-9 scorer in the league and people saw him taking his game to another level. If he comes back next season and builds onto how he started last season, then he’s going to be a top 10 scorer, a potential all-star and people will take more notice. Right now he is a coach’s dream in that he’s humble, plays the game with effort on both sides of the floor, efficient and is not going to really cause you any problems. Unfortunately, that’s not what typically gets marketed or promoted in the league.
We’re going to be on National TV more just by having Blake. If we’re winning, then there’s going to be more exposure and spotlight put on this team. It’s going to be hard not to notice Eric if he is putting up 23-25 points and D’ing up the other team’s top wing player, as long as we’re winning.

Can't remember LeBron on the Cavs
having a player as good as EJ. EJ’s certainly in the second tier of SGs with his play last season. The only question is if he can maintain and improve.
Biased as a Clippers fan, but EJ in the wins over Phoenix and Utah in the clutch to win games was as good as a Blake highlight to me.
Varajao's pretty great, in other categories than scoring
But we also have DJ, who too is pretty great in categories other than scoring. Ilgauskas was pretty good too, but let’s not forget about Chris Kaman. So yeah, in the end I don’t really see how LeBron ever had an EJ. And since we have his #2 on our team as our #3, it’s a pretty sweet spot to be in.

You could argue that Mo was their EJ
and now hes playing for the Clips. Although not playing at the same level he was (kind of reminds me of BD)
Enough with the Bleacher Report articles
they are almost all subpar speculation and they are about as credible the onion.

If Lebron had Blake's current supporting cast when he was in Cleveland..
He might of won a championship by now
Clippers own staples center!!!
