The FO has stated something needs to get done to fill the SF spot with a true starter.  Olshey has set a soft deadline to do something by July 1st, but that doesn't seem likely.  The Draft, a day where many trades usually happen, came and went, yet nothing was done.  

What if the Clippers can't pull anything off by July 8th and DJ gets a big offer that we have to match?  From what I understand, It's far more beneficial to the cap space (under the current CBA) to trade for a player or sign a FA first, then re-up the RFA afterwards.
