i remember this

i actually followed miami a lot especially this year because eddie jones (miami’s real #6) was my favorite player and this was his best shot to get a ring

The game was pretty poor during regulation so he had to keep rooting for more overtimes to get him there.

Went to go see Coach Carter that night.

After I came home, I turned on the radio for the post-game show and was surprised the game was in 2OT (Mel Proctor was the radio guy back then; I thought he was good). I think it was one of maybe 12 games Kerry Kittles played in that season. Shaq was less than gracious towards the Clippers and Maggette during post-game interviews.

I think Rick Bruson was starting at the one, lol.
