July 1, 2011
On behalf of the organization, we want to thank you for being an integral part of our team. As you know, the labor agreement between the NBA and the players union has expired and a new deal has not yet been reached. We want to proactively provide you with information regarding your season tickets.
We are hopeful that a resolution will be reached and games will commence on time. The 2011-12 schedule is set to be released shortly and we will print and ship tickets as usual. However, if games are cancelled, we have a plan in place to protect your season ticket investment.
In the event any preseason or regular season games are cancelled, we are offering you the following two options. Your account payments must be current in order to participate.
OPTION 1: The MVP Guarantee allows you to keep your money on account and you will earn a 5% credit from games cancelled. The credit can be used toward additional 2011-12 game tickets, event suites, 2012 playoff games or toward your 2012-13 ticket account.
OPTION 2: The Standard Option allows you to receive a refund in the amount you paid for the game ticket plus a 1% annual interest rate based on a simple interest calculation. Interest begins to accrue on October 1, 2011. Refunds will be issued monthly based on the number of games missed.
We've developed this plan to ensure that you are completely protected and you have ample time to decide. We will communicate more details and how to make your option selection if and when it becomes necessary.
We look forward to the start of what promises to be one of the most thrilling seasons of Clippers basketball ever featuring the most exciting team in the NBA. We hope to see you this summer at our exclusive season ticket holder events over the next few months.
Thank you again for being part of Clipper Nation.
