Jordan was there – sort of. He didn’t talk to any of the other players (that I saw), didn’t eat in the lunch tent with everyone else, just showed up and played golf. If he takes that same approach this year, I think he’ll avoid any violations, assuming they don’t group him with one of those guys.

For what it’s worth (almost nothing), Battier was one of the nicest guys there, chatting with everyone, taking pictures, and genuinely having a good time.

The highlight for me was when Barkley walked past my wife, looked her over, and said, “Hey, baby.” She giggled and said, “Hi, Charles.” (She went home with me, thank goodness.)
