HoopsVibe’s Very Quick Call: The Los Angeles Clippers are on the verge of a breakthrough
I am fully aware that an article about BG, Mo, and Foye asking to enter the Impact LV league with an all Clipper team has been posted. But this article had a very interesting note that I might very well be in agreement with: "The Clippers resemble the Sacramento Kings of yesteryear, specifically the 1998-99 lockout shortened season when a squad led by Chris Webber, Jason ‘White Chocolate’ Williams, and Vlade Divac went 27-23. Those Kings not only entertained but possessed a togetherness that made them a force in the Western Conference for the next five years." What do you ya'll think? I will be a happy camper if they have a succesful string of season's like the Kings did in the late 1990s an early 2000s. But the problem with that King's team was they never made it past the Western Conference Finals. Does that make that King's team unsuccessful? I think not. But if a Griffin led Clipper team becomes a force in the next few years but fails to make wll an NBA title (or even make an appearance a la King's team), would we deem the team a success or not?
