One more reason why CP3 is my hero
I happen to have seats next to the Clippers tunnel where the Clip players enter the court from the locker room. After Wednesday night’s glorious victory, I was fortunate enough to see something that most fans missed. After CP3’s interview on ESPN, he was walking past the bench and into the tunnel when he saw a nine year old boy in my row who was holding out his hand for a high five. When CP3 saw this, he literally stopped and took off his wristband and walked up and gave it to the kid. He didn’t toss it or throw it into the crowd as many players do – he walked up and handed it to the kid.
But then it got even better, because as he turned again to the tunnel he saw a man wearing a CP3 Hornets jersey. The guy wasn’t trying to get CP3’s attention – he was just at the tunnel trying to get a look. Chris stopped dead in his tracks, said something to him, and then proceeded to take off his jersey – the one he had just worn while beating the Heat – and handed it to this guy as a reward for wearing the Hornets jersey. The fan was speechless, walked a few steps away and then held the jersey in front of him as if he couldn’t believe his good fortune.
The moral of the story? CP3 is my new hero. And not just for basketball reasons.

didn Gilbert Arenas strip down to his boxers once?
lol
Ralph, "Last year so often with Blake Griffin you would see these things coming, with Paul, he's so crafty, all of a sudden boom there it is."
I believe
he got tossed. And as he walked all the way down the court to the locker room he was throwing stuff into the crowd and saying “thats throwing” (he got tossed for “throwing” the ball at a ref…. really he just tossed it and the ref wasn’t ready, if my memory serves)
Tossed for throwing a ball, eh?
Sounds familiar, but oh wait, they didn’t make that call against the Heat… hmm…

Corey Maggette threw his jock strap to Erik O after a game
That was the beginning of his infatuation with Mags.

LJ, you do know Erik O is my favorite blogger
and I am joking. Right?

Be careful or I will take you on a trip
to a place that reopens February 16th to straighten you up. You may miss the game against Portland that night or possibly the whole rest of the season.

Awesome story
But a shirtless CP3 would be an ugly sight.
This blog is going in a different direction than I envisioned

Thanks for sharing that, ASOMS
Glad to know he’s as genuine off-camera as he seems to be when the spotlights are on. From all accounts he seems to be a class act, which is all too rare among superstar athletes these days. Makes us Clippers fans that much more fortunate to have landed him.
Proudly enduring the pain since the days of Bill Walton's foot.
Now living the good life in Lob City, CA.
Note to sell..
Must buy Hornets CP3 jersey and sit in 117.

lol...
that’s what I thought!
game worn CP3 jersey is worth a couple hundred bucks… pays for the seat!
I'm sure it's worth more than $200
Just a regular NBA jersey cost $300+. Add a zero.

a cheap one is $50-80 with the ironed on logos and stuff is that much. the replica ones are $200+ easily.
Try Venice Beach for $25 dollars
Just proof read first for misspelled words and do not put in the washing machine.

I've definitely seen a jersey that said "CLIPPER" before

If you see another one just like it buy it for me.
Just double check it does not say PU Mike in error.

I go with Swingman unless I'm 100% sure I can get it signed, then I go for authentic.
I got that special edition Blake jersey that was like red and black with a neat pattern on the mesh part, but just in replica. I wear replica to games mainly because I don’t want to spill nacho cheese all over a $250 jersey haha.

yeah those black ones are sick
a friend of mine posted a pic of them on my fb and said “leave it to the clips to have the dumbest jerseys in the league”(laker fan) and I said “those are the same as the heat jerseys”
btw, have you seen the Raptors camo jerseys?
Yea those are nice
The Lakers have all-pink jerseys, so that guy needs to stfu.

CP3 is one of the real guys in the NBA
I bet LeBron wouldn’t even sign an autograph… Why do NBA players have such huge egos?
we’re cheap, like to drink and are pissed off.
WHO WANTS A FREE SHARPIE?? -- Blake Griffin
Speaking of which... My girlfriend said Blake Griffin was awesome
He was like a machine signing every single thing anyone had in Autograph Alley.

Girlfriend? You mean mannequin with Maggette's face on it right?
Check out http://fullyclips.com/ - Really Great Clippers blog!
He must have learned the machine signature style from Baron
I remember I got pre game on court access once and Baron just went down the line signing everything like a machine he must have signed like 15 jerseys in under a minute.

It's sick right
Having your girlfriend know who Blake Griffin is. I love it. My girl could give two shits about the NBA, but you can bet your ass she knows who BG is.
BG + CP3 = STFD
great guy
i remember when i was young lining up for autographs (back then you could literally wait outside the players lock rooms @ clipper games) and got Alton Listers autograph. the guy next to me didn’t bring a mag nor paper so reached for his wallet to find something for Alton to sign. The dude didn’t have anything on him so he pulled out two $1 bills. Alton stopped and asked if he signed one of them, if he could have one of the $1 bills and guy gave it to him.
after that day, i viewed athletes quite differently. but cool story about Dpaul. at least he didn’t ask for the guy to take off his shirt in exchange

Seems like a really great dude

Nice...
THAT is the kind of dude we want leading the Clippers!
Ive hitched myself to the right bandwagon
Eli Manning is the opposite of Lebron James. If you ask Lebron for change for a dollar, he only gives you 75c because he doesnt have a fourth quarter. When Eli asks for change, he only takes one quarter because thats all he's gonna need
Proud owner of CP3's worn jersey...
Yup, that was me!
