The actual breakdown is here
That article actually refers to a thorough breakdown here:

I couldn’t agree more. Frankly, it’s befuddling that VDN hasn’t done a better job of getting them to work on this. And I’m surprised CP3 hasn’t worked with Blake directly. But again, I guess the issue is lack of practice time.
It’s definitely a work in progress. This is the one issue that the team’s offensive efficiency has covered up. But if they don’t work this out, the team won’t reach its substantial potential.
Very interesting!
One of the keys in this article is that both CP3 and Blake are very good in the PnR, but they are used to running it in different ways. Which leads us back to the concept that with more time they will develop a feel for each others game. CP3 had to learn to play with Chandler and West. It’s not an automatic that a great point guard adapts instantaneously.
great article - everyone should read it
I don’t purport to know much about basketball theory, but this article raised the same points that I have with my friends. It was supposed to be Pick & Roll City this year, and Blake isn’t rolling! I think that it will improve with time (and with a coaching change – hint hint).
One thing that the article doesn’t point out is that, in my opinion, Blake sets really weak screens. Thoughts?
