Clips have in 4 Big Men
Clippers had in 7-0 D.J Mbenga, 6-11 Hilton Armstrong, 6-10 Solomon Jones and 6-11 Dan Gadzuric. They are in need of another big man.

NO more Ike it looks like
I would enjoy watching DJ Mbenga around, since he was victim to Blake’s rookie yr pre-season monster dunk. Also, there would be two DJ’s on the team.

Really getting dunked by BG isn't a big deal
if you don’t get dunked on by BG that means you aren’t challenging him at the rim. One of the best shot blockers of all-time Alonzo Mourning got dunked on quite a few times, that’s the risk you run challenging everything near the basket (which Mbenga does do).
Help us Altered Beast you're our only hope.
With Reggie Evans, one of the above will be our fourth big man, getting 10-12 minutes a night.
The Lakers got by with Mbenga and Powell in this role, but that’s because Pau could play the 4 and the 5. Blake is capable of being the 5 in small-ball lineup, but it’s a shame he and DJ aren’t as versatile as Pau. (Blake because of his lack size/length and DJ because of his lack of skill).
Having said that, maybe we can squeak by with Reggie at the 5, and then the above list looks less crummy considering they will be playing spot minutes. If that is the case, I vote for Gadzuric. He’s high energy and moderately skilled (per his role), and he’s from UCLA.
The thought of Mbenga sickens me and Hilton Armstrong is built like a twig. I know nothing about Solomon Jones except perhaps, maybe, vaguely seeing his name at the very bottom of Atlanta Hawk box scores last season.

I guess he wants to stay retired
These are league minimum dudes and can play for 1 yr contracts probably. The Clips likely are not interested in throwing out any contracts longer than this yr.
Hilton Armstrong did play with CP3 for a few yrs in New Orleans….that could have some sway. Mbenga is energetic though and has survived so many yrs in the league because of that energy.
Gadzuric would be interesting. Having Kapono and Barnes with the Lakers and him on the Clips, its ironic that 3 out 4 of that UCLA team are in LA. Now the Lakers need to trade for Earl Watson…..hahah.

Ha, no thanks. Earl would actually HELP that team.

Any of these guys
Should be used sparingly, but i think it would be wise to sign one of them and save our trade assets for a defensive wing man off the bench.
Why couldn't we get DeShawn Stevenson?
And I still say Bogans. Say what you will about him being one of the worst starters in the league last year, but his team won 62 games and he was a factor for the Spurs before that.
3 and D, and some size. All we need at the wing and he’s it.

The Clippers need a better, tougher defensive wing off the bench
Bogans would fit that description even though hes not really tall enough to defend guys like Durant, but that would leave Foye with little to no playing time. Olshey has lots of options here, if he could find a deal like Foye+Cook for a backup C and then sign Bogans that would be nice, but probably not likely. Id be open to signing a C, then trading Bled+Gomes for Ariza, have him come off the bench w/ Mo. If Billups leaves this summer we could then slide Caron to the 2 and put Ariza in the starting SF spot, but now im thinking too far ahead. . .
They're all stiffs.
I’m leaning toward Armstrong. Wow, what a pathetic list to choose from. But a big body is what we need. Armstrong can run the floor.
But DJ Mbenga is the best defender.
And, he is one of the strongest players in the NBA. He can be our enforcer alongside Reggie.
we’re cheap, like to drink and are pissed off.

Mbenga better defender and also more experienced
FWIW, Mbenga has been on teams that made deep playoff runs, including 4 finals appearances. He may not have played many minutes for those teams, but he’s always been part of winning atmospheres which counts for something.
I agree- if we are gonna take one of these stiffs, Mbenga is a good fit with Reggie as a defensive 2nd unit front court.
whoever plays the best defense
and name doesn’t rhyme with jenga

Armstrong and Mbenga have played with Paul
of the two, Mbenga is the better of the two. So that leaves him, Jones, Gadzuric. Jones is worse the worse choice and Gadz is the most complete player of the lot. Since whoever is the 4th center will either be on the floor with Evans or Cook, rebounding and defense are important. So that will be Mbenga. If we are looking at someone who may be able to slide to the 4 then Gadz.
I believe Blake knows Armstrong pretty well too
I remember Blake’s training videos on youtube and Hilton was present at times
