wow - hold your horses there
I have no doubt that CP3 & BG will be great players for years. But let’s not over-inflate their egos too much just yet. Let’s at least wait until they go deep in the playoffs. The last thing I want is CP3 and BG to be too cocky and arrogant before they even won anything.
No, it's the Clip Show!
Let's not be hypocritical hear.
As PV pointed out, many people dislike Blake’s smug look after a dunk. What bothered me about Love’s poses and bragging was the fact that he showed that he was not a humble player; rather, he felt as if he was an all star. At the same time, Griffin is not exactly humble, and neither is DeAndre (although he seems to be better than Griffin). Griffin dunks the ball and merely stares at the refs and acts as if he is the big shot who deserves every call. I think he is fouled often, but his demeanor after a dunk is just terrible. DeAndre is also the person who yells after each dunk. I like it, I think it brings intensity, but that also means that we should be willing to accept other player’s post shot/dunk excitement.
difference IMO
between an immediate reaction like DJ yelling after a dunk, or chest bumping after a game winner. Love wasn’t being pumped with his teammates. He was being cocky and posing by himself.
I never said that I like Blake’s reactions. They kind of make me uneasy, like I know he is being cocky but I’m trying to pretend not to notice. But when you are rooting for a team, you are allowed to like your own player’s reactions. I hate everything Kobe does. Laker fans hate everything Blake does. I’m a fan, so I get to be bias.
I hated every moment of that winning shot
but how many times have we seem Clippers’ players mug it up after a great play. In fact, competitive blogs are starting to really dislike Blake for looking smug after a dunk.
