Cool, it was only a matter of time. Now that Jerseys are hot sellers again, an alternate Jersey would be nice. I always liked the Blue "Los Angeles" Jerseys which were inspiration for the current road Reds.
Perhaps maybe a San Diego Clippers Throwback?

There are rules about introducing new unis. I think the Clippers have to wait another year before they can introduce an alternate, since they redesigned last year. Anyone remember that rule specifically?
If I’m right, then this would probably be a throwback jersey. Hopefully not that black and orange Buffalo thing. The baby blue SD Clippers?

the clippers will be debuting their jerseys against the Grizz (the Grizz will also be debuting a new retro jersey) on TNT.

It’s the LA Stars ABA jersey. In 69-70 (coincidentally, the year of my arrival in southern California) the Stars lost in the ABA Finals, led by rookie Mack Calvin, from USC and Long Beach Poly (Go Jackrabbits!)
The next year the Stars moved to Utah, acquired NBA center Zelmo Beatty, and won the ABA championship. The Stars played two seasons in the Sports Arena in LA and were coached by Bill Sharman before he took over the Lakers. I’m going to guess that Sharman is the only coach in history to win an ABA title and an NBA title in consecutive seasons.
