Foye has been fine.

It’s Mo and Billups that need to step up their game.

by SurfinQ00 on Jan 25, 2012 8:45 PM PST up reply actions

Foye is 2-7

In what world is that fine?

by NewCavsfan on Jan 25, 2012 8:49 PM PST up reply actions

Yea for 5 points

that’s not efficient at all. With 7 shots you should have 9-10 points.

Billups has 7 points on 5 shots
Mo has 8 points on 9 shots which is bad but still better than Foye.

Help us Altered Beast you're our only hope.

2nd half worries.

I’m quiet worried that the second half will be close, and seeing the shooting night of Billups/Mo/Paul, I expect it to be too close for comfort, possibly even a loss (which I pray isn’t going to happen). I’m not too worried about Kobe hitting down a bunch of shots, because that will just cause Pau to have less.

DJ only had 4 fouls, he could've played more

It was MWP’s outrebounding and hustle that got the Lakers back in it with the lead with DJ on the bench. Either way the Clippers made stupid bonehead plays, shot poor, and had poor closing out defense on the 3’s.

The worse team won tonight.. so frustrating

some bad coaching, horrible officiating, missing open shots, bad rotations. The lakers just dont play good basketball and get bailed out of games like this, they arent built to last.

A couple of observations

Is it just me or did it seem the refs were trying to help the Lakers win….couple obvious terrible calls…Ron artests clobber of Blake Griffin TWICE and no foul called….The questionable out of bounds call just because Mike Brown starts screaming and yelling at the sidelines.
Second….VDN is not the coach for us

24 fouls to 14

Even with the few at the end its obvious who was getting all the calls tonight. On top of that the lakers shoot 50% from 3? thats going to happen often… The lakers sure do need a LOT to go there way to pull out any wins

by dulciusXasperis on Jan 25, 2012 10:22 PM PST up reply actions

I put this one on Paul and Billups.

Yes, I know Paul is rusty and I know Billups had a bad game, but that’s not the point. The point is, we bring the two guards to finish games and they did nothing of the sort. Yes, Lakers defense was stellar, but that’s why you have Paul and Billups. We couldn’t find a good shot if they sold it in bulk in Costco. Paul was extremely passive and anything but a leader, and Billups was non existent. I thought Blake played a great game, Caron contributed his share, Mo did his job, and DeAndre did what I would expect when he has to take care of Bynum. Paul and Billups? Not so much.

by SurfinQ00 on Jan 25, 2012 10:22 PM PST reply actions

by cliptakular on Jan 25, 2012 10:24 PM PST up reply actions

I wouldn't say that.

I would say 3 or 4 times, he had a nice play to get to the basket. At that point, he would stop short and have a wide open shot (Bynum/Pau were close but not really on him) and he missed it.

by SurfinQ00 on Jan 25, 2012 10:24 PM PST up reply actions

Of all the missed shots

Paul had about 2 bad shots
Billups maybe 3
Foye about 4
Mo about 4

Most of the shots were decent enough.

by NewCavsfan on Jan 25, 2012 10:25 PM PST up reply actions

Griffin shot great

except on when he tried to step back for a 3. Did he think he was KLove?

I understand trying to conserve some energy for tomorrow, but you want to win today and than worry about tomorrow later. Go for a more sure win today than something that might be harder tomorrow.
