Clippers attendance is up this year...
It looks like Clippers attendance is up quite a bit this year.
According to ESPN, the Clippers are 3rd overall in attendance, above the Lakers and only behind the Heat and the Bulls. At home, they rank 6th (still above the Lakers) and when they're away they're rank 1st in attendance.
Who would have thought this would happen so fast? Perhaps there really is a new king in town, and this king certainly isn't adorn in purple and gold.

Voted by the 30 Gms in the league most exciting in the western conference!
They came behind the Miami Heat (31%) Clippers (29%).
This doesn't take into account the prices
I’m pretty sure every team (including the Clippers) charge a premium when the Lakers visit. Also just checking the secondary market on tickets the Lakers still sell for double or more on games.

Well home attendance is limited by seating capacity... Lakers and Clippers have sold out every game this year we just have more seat
Away attendance is the most important of these figures… and to be first means that we’re really turning some heads… DTS must be one happy man right now.
How do we have more seats?
Not being sarcastic, just curious. Is there a different seating configuration down by the court for Laker home games?
More media at Faker Home Games,
that means less seats for paying customers.

Seating capacity numbers...
For the Clippers, it’s 19,060, and for the Lakers, it’s 18,997. However, the Clips have had several home games where they’ve exceeded that 19,060 number. In my many trip to Staples through the years, the 300 level has several retractable seating section which they’ll bring out depending on the opponent and the ticket demand.
