How great would our franchise be if Danny Manning didn't get hurt?
For those younglings who do not know about Dan "the man" Manning, the guy was the Lebron James of his time (minus the athleticism. He was long at 6"10, had Lebron like court vision, great shooter (routinely shot 50% fg and 80% FT), and would get over 1 stl and 1 blk a game. Unfortunately for us, he had a serious injury which slowed him down.
He also won a National Championship at Kansas and pretty much rejuvenated the Kansas program. After Dan the Man left, a lot of top talent joined.
Before Dan the Man got injured, his stats were as follows:
23.7 pts, 7 rebs, 4.2 assist, 1.3 stls, 1.4 blks, 49% FG.
He was the complete player and was our Blake "Mad Dog" Griffin during his era. Would have been a great cornerstone to build our franchise...

Hard to say
The Clips had some talent on those squads. Would DTS pay to keep them?

Ron “Hollywood” Harper was very good until he got injured as well, Charles Smith looked good, Ken “Snake” Norman, Gary “the General” Grant and Big Ben. With a healthy Danny Manning the team could have been really good.
Help us Altered Beast you're our only hope.
Last healthy game of the core
Look at that box score here

Seth Curry's daddy played in this game.
Deadeye like father, like son shooter.
"Great Balls Of Fire, Reggie's Back!"
I was a bigger fan of Charles Smith.
Pretty formidable 6 right there.
Manning was one of Sterling's favorite players...
There was always the story (I know it’s been told here and a few other places) about Sterling having a dream about Manning leading the Clips to a NBA title, and there were plans set-up to trade Manning for Glen Rice, which Sterling nixed.
If Manning had been heatlhy, it certainly would have been possibly that the Clips would be in the title mix, even though the West during the years of Manning’s prime was about as deep as it is today—Hakeem’s Rockets, the KJ/Barkley/Majerle Suns, Admiral’s Spurs, Stockton-Malone’s Jazz, Payton-Kemp’s Sonics, the Drexler-Porter-Kersey Blazers, and the Run-TMC Warriors.
Who knows…if Sterling was willing to spend the money, and Elgin Baylor actually cared enough about his job, the Clips would have been an annual playoff contender at worst.
According to Elgin Baylor...
Sterling said “I’m offering a lot of money for a poor black kid.”

wow
almost forgot how good Hollywood Harper was
2.4 stls, 1 blk, 5 rebs, 5 assist, 48% fg, 23 pts
those are dwade type stats
how good would Amar'e Stoudamire had been if he was drafted by the Clippers?
The Clippers drafted Chris Wilcox right before Amar’e by the way
also keep in mind…whoever the Clips drafted would be stuck behind Elton Brand
would Amar’e still become who he is today and help alter the Clipper universe, WITH Brand…or would he become a scrub and Chris Wilcox been an exciting big man in Phoenix because of more opportunities to play PF?
how good would the Clippers had been if Andre Miller wasn’t so…..Andre Miller?
how good would the Clippers had been if Kobe decided to sign here?
how good would the Clippers had been if Blake didn’t get injured in his first year?
how good would the Clippers had been if Korolev as never born?
Ralph, "Last year so often with Blake Griffin you would see these things coming, with Paul, he's so crafty, all of a sudden boom there it is."
